Juliette's POV
We had finally gotten to the movie theatre. Chris and Matt went to get us tickets, whilst Nick and I went to go get the snacks for the movie, "obviously popcorn and Dr Pepper" I said, looking at Nick who was already nodding in agreement. "oooh, wait, they have sour patch kids" Nick and I both said in unison, only to burst out in laughter, before grabbing the bright green packet.
We entered the screening room. "There's no way I'm sitting next to Chris or Juli. All they do is just talk during movies" Matt said, as Nick placed himself next to Matt, agreeing.
The two of them weren't wrong. I loved talking during movies. It was so bad to the point that I had to give Matt an apology piggyback ride for making him cry because I talked over and interrupted Mufasa's death the time we watched the lion king in the first grade. It was his favourite movie, to the point he would always beg us to listen to the Hakuna Matata in the car rides home whenever we had a playdate.
"Okay fine, Juliette and I will sit away from you guys" Chris said, awkwardly smiling at me as he gestured to two seats a few rows ahead of Nick and Matt.
Ugh. Torture.
I didn't want to be as blunt as to say "ew no, I'd rather be sitting next to the old woman in the row behind us who smells like moth balls", but I promised Nick and Matt I would make an effort with Chris.
A half an hour passed into the movie, before I started getting confused. "wait, so he's her father?", "what the fuck? I thought they were dating" Chris and I started asking each other, making us receive some dirty looks from the moth ball lady. I mouthed a sorry, before turning around.
5 minutes later, I reached for my drink, only for it to meet Chris' hand, that was looking for the sour patch kids, that had just accidentally been knocked onto the floor. "Oops" "Sorry" we both said, awkwardly. "Wait did we just miss something important?" Chris asked, "yeah I don't get it again", "do you-"
"Oh my god shut the fuck up you two". Suddenly, the whole theatre was staring at me and Chris, who had been talking louder than we had anticipated we were. We quickly tried to disappear into our seats, slouching as we looked at eachtoher in a thisissoyourfault way.
"Chris stop fucking asking me questions people are getting pissed", "dude you started asking them, and you were the one who made me miss an important part because your dumbass just 'needed' some soda and knocked my sour patch kids over. "don't you dare blame that on me, you're the clumsy one, I didn't do anyth-"
"excuse me". Our argument was interrupted by one of the people working at the movie theatre. "you're going to have to leave this screening room right now, you're causing a huge disruption".
Fucking Chris. Always ruining everything.
"I tripped Chris over as I made my way out of the cinema, watching Nick and Matt giggle as I left. I mouthed a fuck you before heading out.
"so.... what do we do now?" Chris asked
