Many people wonder the same thing like where we come from and what is our purpose in life. Some say destiny decides others say fate. But the real question we must ask is are we the ones who write the story or is it already written...

We start our adventure in the quiet lush fields of Amphisbaena. A fruitful land where we find our soon-to-be hero enjoying the sun on what should have been a peaceful day. As the clouds rolled over the hills and the birds sang the hero thought to himself that nothing could go wrong and life was bliss. However, within a moment's notice, the earth started shaking with great force. Then suddenly a huge crack in the earth formed right in front of our hero's eyes. Utterly shocked he then rushed towards his home to ensure everyone's safety . Thankfully no one was hurt and only some roofing and siding were damaged. after the immense shaking had stopped and his family was safe he began to repair his home unaware of the task about to be laid upon him. As he picked up the broken siding and set it on the bench to be fixed he went into his home to grab the nails and hammer and when he returned he was approached by the royal messenger Zepher. with terror stricken across his face, he urgently gave our hero a letter and said "The king wishes to see you right away " As the panicked messenger mounted on his horse he had one final message to give our hero "Please hurry you mustn't keep the king waiting" then the Zepher made his way back to the castle. with a puzzled look upon his face, our hero made his way back toward his home he walked in cleared some debris, and sat down to read the letter that had been delivered by the king's messenger. he was so confused as to why he was the only one in his small village to receive this letter. he carefully popped the wax seal and then began to read the contents. The letter states (THE KING'S DECREE: By order of the king. A state of emergency has been declared all the kingdom of Amphisbaena and its outskirt territory. A warlord has set siege upon this sacred land and has declared war upon my kingdom I would have chosen my royal army to take care of this matter however the earthquake has swallowed up my entire Army so I call upon you the last hero of Amphisbaena you must report to the castle for immediate detail hurry for there is no time to waste we must protect our home as well as our people). our hero was in shock why him why now? but he had no time to think, life as he knew it could be over he needed to act so he quickly gathered a sack of his belongings and said goodbye to his loved ones then set off on his journey to meet the king.

the road to the king

As our hero made his way down the hill the crack in the earth was growing in size, thankfully the bridge was still intact so he could cross into town. as he walked through the rubble and the decimation he kept thinking about one thing can I save them? As he reached the palace gates he was stopped by the sound of a woman crying he turned to see her down on the ground next to a man whose leg was pinned under a huge rock. He walked over to the woman bent down and asked "What's wrong ma'am "She looked up with tears streaming down her face and cried " oh please help me my father is stuck and he is the only family I have" our hero looked over at the man he was alive but out cold. he then turned back to the woman and said " I'm going to go look for something to help lift the rock off your father's leg " he then looked around him to see what he could use the woman said "There is a beam over near the bakery could that work ?" he said "that's perfect" then he proceeded to pick up the beam with impressive strength and carry it over to the rock. "stand back I don't want you to get hurt " then without haste, he shoved the beam in between the ground and the rock. "get ready to pull him as I lift" he exclaimed. As the rock started to rise the woman pulled with all her might. As soon as the man was free the boulder crashed down to the ground once more breaking the beam and causing a loud thud to crack amongst the town. Our hero saw the sigh of relief on the woman's face  "How could I ever thank you" he just smiled and said "The thanks are enough" he then proceeded to walk up past the palace gates and head towards the castle. As he inched closer to the door he was worried about what his fate might bring...
