~~start~~
I walked into the leaf with my team of genin for the chunin exams.
"I need sake." Baki muttered and walked directly to the bar.
I sighed " alright let's get to the Hokage tower and let him know we're here."
"Hai Nima-sensei." They said in unison.
We walked to the hokage tower and inside to the door where we were stopped and asked why we were there.
"We're here to see the Hokage." I said formally.
The guard turned to the door, I moved quickly and placed my hand on Gaara's shoulder. He looked at me and I shook my head. He let out a calming breath and focused on keeping Shukaku under control. The guard let us through moments later. Once inside we talked to the Hokage for a short while. When we left I looked at Temari and Kankuro.
"Both of you go walk around for a while, and DON'T cause any trouble. Is that understood?"
"Hai, sensei." They said and left.
"Gaara, I want to know did he order you not to do anything for shukaku?"
"Yes." He replied, his voice cold at the thought of his father, the kazakage.
I brought the conversation to a better perspective "how about we go scare you siblings?"
Gaara chuckled at this and nodded. We disappeared in a swirl of sand and appeared upside down in a tree a few feet from Kankuro and Temari. Kankuro was holding a kid by his foot.
"Disgraceful." Gaara said. Kankuro dropped the kid.
"What did I tell you Kankuro?" I said, sharply.
"D-don't cause problems." He stuttered, visibly shrinking.
"And what do you do?" I snapped, he whimpered. "Temari did you even try to stop him?"
"He wouldn't listen to me sensei. I swear."
I looked at the blonde with the two other kids and his team
"Tell me, is that true?" I asked the blonde.
"Yes ,she tried but he wouldn't listen to her." He said, truthfully.
"Good." I said and looked at temari and kankuro. "Get going now, find Baki and drag him from whatever drink he has. If he doesnt tell him I'll have his hide."
"Yes sensei." They said and disappeared.
I released my chakra from my feet and dropped to the ground. I made my way to the kid on the ground who was still rubbing is head, and crouched down and brushed the spot with a hint of healing chakra and he looked at me, surprised.
"You alright kiddo?" I asked
"My name's not kiddo!" He shouted indignantly, I laughed.
"Then what is it? If you don't want me to call you kiddo you gotta tell me your name."
"My name is Konahamaru." He said and I laughed
"Alright, Konahamaru. Are you alright?"
"Yeah, I'm alright. Thanks for helping me." He said. I smiled at him.
"You're welcome, Konahamaru. They deserve a good scaring every once and a while. Reminds them who's the teacher." I said, he laughed.
"You're really cool."
"So are you."
I took his hand and pulled him up to his feet, while getting to my feet myself.
When I left them I knew I met someone I could trust with the group.
~~~skipping to when she meets Iruka mino~~~~
I sighed as I walked towards the village again, ever since my team and I got here I went for a walk every morning. Today I took a different route and suddenly I tripped and fell into a leaf nin who caught us both before we could fall to the ground.
"I'm so sorry." I gasped looking up at him. I noticed that he was really cute and I blushed. "I'm not usually this clumsy, then again I don't usually take this route so that's probably why."
"It's alright I wasn't paying attention either, so we're even. You're not from around here are you?"
"No. I'm actually from the sand I arrived with my team earlier than the others. We got the okay from the Hokage." I was rambling and I made myself stop. "Sorry I was rambling."
My cheeks were bright red as I stepped away from him wincing at the pain in my ankle knowing I sprained it pretty good.
"I'm Nima by the way."
"I'm Iruka." He said in return. "I'll take you back to the village so you don't get lost."
"That'd be nice."
He led me to the village and looked at me
"You alright getting to your apartment?" He asked looking at my ankle.
"Probably.." I said but only a few steps and I tripped, Iruka caught me. "Not"
It came out sounding a bit breathless. I felt safe in Iruka's arms, it was strange.
"I'll help you to your apartment then." He said.
"Thanks" I replied. He helped me to the apartment and inside.
"What happened, sensei?" Temari asked.
"I took a different route today, didn't end so well." I said as Iruka helped me to the couch, I quickly sat down. I smiled at Iruka. "Thanks Iruka, for helping me get here."
"You're welcome. Hopefully you're not hurt next time I see you." He said and disappeared out the door. I laughed.
"Sensei, what really happened?" Gaara asked
"Exactly as I said 'I took a different route, didn't end well.' I'm lucky Iruka was there or else I'd have gotten lost."
Surprisingly I was sad that Iruka left. I hope I see him again.
~~~~a few days later~~~~
Baki dragged me to the bar for some deranged reason. Complaining all the way there that I needed to loosen up. I let him pull me not bothering to stop him. When we got there the bar was packed with jonin from every village and some chunin who didn't make jonin level.
"Baki what's going on?" I asked
Baki didn't answer he shoved me into a group of people, causing me to stumble into none other than Iruka.
"I'm so sorry, Iruka." I said, my face pink.
"It's alright, it isn't the first time, remember?" He said. I blushed a darker shade of pink, making him chuckle.
I'm gonna murder baki for this, I thought.
"Why don't you stay with us for a while?"
Maybe later, I thought
