Pushing through the trees of the dark forest, Iris ran, pulling her friend's arm from behind. The beams of moonlight shone through the breaks in the trees lit their path as they start to slow down.
"Iris where are we going?" Alex groans as Iris walks ahead.
"There's something I wanna show you." Iris looks back at her friend.
"Well hurry up cause I'm getting tired." they groan and follow slowly behind her. Iris continues pushing through bushes and walking around trees out in the woods. "You remember that loud explosion like sound we heard a few nights ago?" She says coming out of the bushes. "Yeah didn't they say it was just the storm?"
"Alex, you really believe that?" She crosses her arms. "Well what else would it be?" Alex sighs as they push through the final bush. "This." Iris points down at the ground. In the center of an open area of the woods, there was a small gray ball, slightly glowing purple.
"What is that?" Alex asks squinting their eyes.
"I don't know.." she says stepping closer. "But I think it's what made that noise."
"I wouldn't go near that if I were you.." Alex says reaching for Iris' arm. "Oh relax." Iris pushes their hand back, stepping closer to it, reaching out. She picked it up and tossed it in her hand. She looked back at Alex then shrugged. Alex shook their head but Iris didn't listen. She takes two hands and slowly twists it open. In between the two halves of the ball, floats a purple stone. Iris' eyes light up and she smiles. She then reaches out to it and Alex panics.
"No don't touch it!" Alex yells but once again, Iris doesn't listen. She reaches out and grabs the stone and a huge burst of energy knocks her out, and blows Alex back. "IRIS!" Alex yells and pulls themself up from the ground and runs over to Iris. "Iris wake up! Iris! IRIS!"
