So...long time no see huh? Honestly I'm as surprised as you are that I'm actually posting. A few things before we start; one I haven't actually sat down to watch the DSMP (Shocking Ik) I will eventually...maybe. This is taking any canon I know and research and only loosely using it. (Also characters might be OOC from time to time). Secondly, this is the Personas not the Creators, do not come for me, I have no patients for that nonsense. Now that that's out of the way! Sit back, relax, and enjoy this train wreck of a story!

He gasped for breath when his head broke the surface, tossing his head back to clear his face from his wet bangs; Before, rubbing his knuckles against his eyes. Once clear of water he tossed a grin over his shoulder to the docks where his mother sat, gentle smile pulling at her lips. Hair tied high off the back of her neck and feet gently kicking the surface of the water as she watched the boy splash around. It was normal for the two of them to come to their secluded little lake when she came back from sea, spending as much time with each other as they could before she had to leave again. He giggled a bit when she stuck her tongue out at him, before he dove back under with the idea to try and sneak up on mom and splash her. Gliding seamlessly through the water he slowly circled around behind her. Only ever surfacing enough so that his eyes were above water to see if she was still in the same spot as a few seconds before. This went on for a few minutes as he tried his best to be as sneaky as possible to catch her by surprise. He surfaced only two more strokes away from the perfect splash zone, when suddenly the sky got dark. Low rumbles of thunder could be heard rolling in the distance. Looking up, his mother slowly got to her feet, ear flicking in the direction of the thunder. Glancing back at her son she tossed her head in the direction of the shoreline.
"Foolish, it's time to leave." She looked back up at the sky again "It looks like it'll be a bad one. We should leave before it starts pouring." Foolish nods his head, only a little disappointed that he never got to put his plan into motion. They made their way through a disused path, pushing past pesky brush and ticklish branches. When out of nowhere, a loud crack thundered over head. Wincing the two briefly expected the rain to start the second they broke through to a small clearing. Instead a curiously purple light shined just barely above his mom's head in the middle of the field. Even more baffling, the light seemed to slowly grow in size. Foolish and his mom couldn't help but stand rooted to the ground, and watch in amazement, or morbid curiosity, as the purple light grew and crackled with magic. An arm shot up and gently nudged Foolish back when he tried to take a half-step closer. Looking up he saw his mother staring with what looked to be worry painted onto her face, with a glance down she shook her head before going back to watching the magic anomaly grow and spark. Foolish's mom said before that magic anomalies are common but no less dangerous. They stood there just watching for a long time, and if Foolish were to guess it's because mom wanted to wait for it to dissipate before they moved even an inch.It felt like hours before anything interesting happened, at least, to Foolish it did. He had no idea if anomalies normally took this long or if this was a special one. But it seemed like his patience was about to pay off when another loud crack rang through the clearing; Suddenly, heavy bursts of magic pulsed from the anomaly as it seemed to tear into the air and stretch open what looked like a portal. But that doesn't make sense. Even Foolish, as new to the world as he was, knew that portals didn't just appear! You have to make them! At least that's what mom told him, when he asked about them after reading about portals and what they do. Shaking his head free of his tangent he looked up to his mom to see if she was just as confused as he was. What he saw instead was a fierce glare and a firm set to her mouth as she slowly slid in front of her son to protect him from whatever came through the anomaly. Her hand slid seamlessly over the handle of her saber on her hip. Gently she pushed her son backwards away from the clearing. Dazed, the boy obeyed; Especially, when something stepped through the portal. Something that wasn't normal. It didn't feel right. It felt like something old and dangerous and wrong. It was tall and cloaked in a dark robe, and in its arms laid a bundle about the size of a watermelon. The thing seemed to study her, if the tilt of its head was anything to go by. Clenching her jaw the mother brought herself to stand at full height tilting her head up in a show of false confidence. It was still almost three times her height, maybe even more. A low humming sound permeated the air as it studied her. She swallowed and tightened her grip on her blade as the air thickened with an unknown tension.
