Chapter 2 - Grateful and Happy

The fresh smell of ink roams the air as the sounds of a pen writing accompanies it. Papers are stacked on top in piles that reach the heights clock towers would envy. Crackling wood joins the flames to be never seen again. The room had other details that would make it look like a place to work without being disturbed. disturbed. A word that sugg-

Knock knock.

"who is it ?" Technoblade monotonously asked 

"It's me your highness, Daphne, the queen of the nether kingdom, sister of the duke of-" a polite voice replied 

"I understand come in daphne"

The door swung open

It revealed a beautiful woman with blonde locks that piled up to her waist and blue jewel-like eyes that were rarer than diamonds. She wore an eggplant purple dress that hovered over the ground by a few inches covered with white trim. Her sky blue coat -which acted like a shield against the harsh winters of the north- covered her shoulders and her steps.

"What do you need daphne ?"

" oh nothing your highness I just want to exchange a few words with you"

Words? Technoblade thought "why would she want to exchange words with a man who she will never love but the opposite loathe him for taking away everything she held dear her family, friends even her lover "

"begin" Technoblade  slowly commanded 

" Well, a few months ago I despised you and my brother for treating me like an object to trade for. I despised you for killing my friends. I despised you for taking me away from my lover. I despised you when you said you would give me anything except for love. The list could carry on for more than several days but I would like to get to the main point" Daphne emphasized in the last sentence 

" It has been 5 months since our union and 4 since I had found out that I was pregnant. Over the period of time, I came to a realization that you gave me so many things to look forward to and love. In the past, I would always leave my classes for my lover and only admire him for hours"Daphne chuckled"Now after being separated from him I find the world I live in to be so beautiful and breath-taking. Sure many of my people have left too early and half the country was lost. I still look at the chance for it to grow new plants that spring will bring." Her eyes sparkled as the word plants was mentioned

A momment of silence ensued.

"Oh sorry I did not mean to leave your majesty hanging in my last sentence " Daphne quickly  stuttered out an apology 

"It is fine daphne please continue your view of life is intriguing" Technoblade glanced at her before resuming his work

"Oh thank you your majesty. I await for the future as I said previously and I know for a fact that when I first felt our child I kew I would love them with my whole heart. I would also show them the same love and kindness my mother shared with me and my brother. I will share advice to our child when they are in the deepest troubles, protect them from the world's dangers until they are old enough to fend for themselves and I was wondering if you would do the same?"

Technoblade pondered "My father thought me that being a king will come before any other role in my life I promised him that I would so this the second stump I have encoountered as king  but I do know that i will make them the best ruler the three dimensions have ever seen but to achieve that I do not think I will be the best father the three dimensions have ever seen" 

"I believe that the child will do the best they can. I believe they will be a benevelont ruler. I believe they would create great things. I believe that the would destroy the misfortune of the world. I believe they will not sacrifice any living being may it be a human,piglin or valkyrie.I believe they would share love that I will give them along with my other beliefs" Daphne snapped back
