Beep! Beep! Beep!

"Nooo!" I shouted at the alarm clock as it filled the room with its dreaded beeps. It was 7am on a Tuesday morning and I was hung-over from last night's events. I cursed at myself for going to a wild party. I mean, when you really think about it, who would have parties on a weekday?

I slowly peeled the comforter off me and sat up whilst taking a swig of water and some painkillers for my headache. I rolled off my bed and into the shower.

"Ahh." The warm water was so comforting as a got all my make-up off and the smell of booze out of my hair.

I trudged over to my closet and pulled out some lightly ripped skinny jeans, a white and navy striped vest top with cute little gold buttons and some navy patent heels.

I brushed though my naturally curly hair but didn't bother to re-do my make-up and instead of contacts I wore my large nerd-style black framed glasses; the one everyone has these days.

Walking down the stairs I noticed that neither my Mum nor Carlson were in the house. I looked around for a note but there was nothing. I quickly ate breakfast and rushed upstairs to check my phone for any messages informing me of where mum or Carlson could have went but there wasn't any. I felt so stupid when I realized that my phone was turned off the whole time. What if mum or Carlson tried to contact me but my phone was off? They'd be so worried! I quickly switched my phone on, waiting for the stupid apple sign to disappear. I checked the screen and saw I had 78 missed calls!

They were all from Carlson, so I called him back. I waited and after about 9 rings he finally picked up.

"Hello- Carlson?"

"H-hello." He replied, his voice shaking and I instantly knew something was wrong.

"Carlson what's up and where are you?"

He sounded like he was about to burst out crying at any minute. "Bridget I'm at the hospital, something's wrong with mum."

I went into a state of shock. I couldn't possibly imagine what could be wrong with mum.

"Carlson what's wrong with her?" I almost screamed through my phone.

"Just come, it's better for the doctors to explain." I knew then and their that he was crying but before I could say anything else he hung up, leaving me completely clueless and on the verge of tears.

"Come on Bridget." I comforted myself as I grabbed my car keys and revved up the engine. I sped down the street to the direction of the hospital, I seriously couldn't care less if I caught a ticket or not - I just needed to see Mum and Carlson.
