Controlled Love

Chapter 1

It was that time of year again where the students of UA get two weeks off for winter break, but before they could enjoy some time off, they had to complete todays assignment. Class 1A was facing their own trials of fighting against villains while under pressure and in a very small and closed off space. Currently everyone was doing well. "You wont break me villain!!! I'm indestructible!!" Kirishima yells fighting back against his robot. Everyone had their own bot that was assigned to them that's designed to work against their quirks to make it more of a challenge. Kirishimas bot was made extra strong to make it more difficult for his quirk to break through it. Everyone was successful with their assignment. However one student was starting to struggle.

Mina's bot was specially designed to have an acid proof coating, which was more difficult to deal with than the girl was willing to admit. "I can't fall behind my classmates" Ashido thought to herself. "I also can't afford to spend time in extra classes!" The pink girl leaned forward, expelling acid from the soles of her feet and propelling forward, trying to get underneath the robot to find a weak spot.  Beads of sweat fell from her face and her breaths got heavier, as she realized that her acid was starting to burn her own skin. "This isn't good!" She thought, looking desperately for a chink in the robots defenses. Closing her eyes, she pressed her hands together, desperately trying to spray some directed acid at the underside of the robot before it had a chance to react. The skin on her hands started to sting, and she could start smell burning flesh, but she was too focused on her goal to notice the pain. Unfortunately, the robot didn't seem to feel any effects of the acid like she did. The towering machine reached out one of ours mechanical arms and tried to spear the girl.  Exhausted, Mina barely stumbled out of the way, before noticing the other arm coming directly at her. By the time she noticed, it was too late. The arm of the robot crashed down on top of her,  it's sharp edges cutting deep into her shoulder. She cried out in pain, falling to the ground. The pink girls vision faded fast, and the last thing she heard was "Get help!"

Because Mina's bot was out of control, Kirishima was the only one close by that could help stop it in time. He had just brought down his bot when he heard Uraraka scream for help. She had been passing by when she caught sight of Mina struggling. The bots were designed to rough the students up a bit but killing them wasn't part of their programming. This bot clearly had a loose screw. "Get help!! Please! Somebody!! Mina's hurt!!" Uraraka yells then runs into the side of the busted up building where the bricks had been destroyed. Mina was laying unconscious on top of a pile of rubbish when Uraraka stepped in and tried to use her quirk on the bot. "Don't hurt her!! Stop it!!" She cries, reaching out to attempt to touch the bot on the leg. Kirishima could hear yelling and immediately ran to help. He was only a short minute away from them so it didn't take long. When he managed to finally get there Uraraka was pinned against the brick wall with her arm bleeding. "Make it stop! Someone help!!" She cries with a face for of terror and tears rolling down her cheeks. "GET AWAY FROM THEM!" Kirishima yells making his body unbreakable. Then like a bulldozer, he rushes up to the bot with great speed and slams his forehead against its body, sending it crashing into the side of the building. Breathing deeply with sweat rolling down his body, he relaxes himself when he sees the bot isn't getting back up. Right as he was about to turn his attention to the girls, he hears a loud snap. Looking up, he sees he had destroyed the main support of the building. "Crap-" He says in a hurry to get both girls out. Running up to Uraraka and Mina he picks them both up to hurry and get them out. "This place is coming down any second we need to get out now!" He yells, trying to get them both in his arms. Uraraka cried at the pressure Kirishima was applying to her injuries as he picked her up and Mina was still unconscious. By the time he got them both outside the building came crashing down.

Uraraka looked up at Kirishima in awe briefly, before remembering where she was. "You saved us Kirishima!" Her head snapped down to the other girl in his arms. "Oh no, it looks like she got hurt really badly!" The brunette reached over and grabbed Mina's wrist, feeling for a pulse. "She's still breathing, and her pulse seems to be ok, but we need to get her to Recovery girl as soon as possible! She's bleeding out." There's a distinct tension in the air as every robot on the battleground pauses mid-fight, and then powers down without warning. Mr. Aizawa's voice is heard over the loudspeakers. "Attention students. Ashido has been seriously injured in training. Everyone, please stay where you are, so the stretcher bots can safely reach her." Two robots carrying a stretcher roll across the uneven ground, and up to the trio of shellshocked students.  "Please place the student on the stretcher" a robotic voice chirps

Kirishima had both Uraraka's blood and Minas all over his body, but he didn't care. He was worried sick for them both. Uraraka's injury was more of a deep scratch, but Mina had it way worse. So he stayed with Mina. Once she got to recovery girl she was placed on the hospital bed and hooked up to some IV fluids. Kirishima waited outside in the hall while Recovery girl worked her magic. Uraraka was patched up pretty quickly and came out first with a bandage on her arm. "Are you ok?" Kirishima asks her when she comes out of Recovery Girls office. "Its a bit sore but, I'm ok. Thank you for helping us back there. We would have died if you hadn't showed up in time.." She says looking down at her feet. Kirishima could tell something was wrong with her with how gloomy she looked. So he decided to ask if she was ok. "Hey don't worry on it. All that matters is you're both safe. Are you sure you're ok? You seem a little down?" He asks softly while giving her a look of concern. Looking up, she makes eye contact with the red headed boy when she realized he was picking up on her feelings. "I-I 'm sorry. I'm fine really, I just, if you hadn't shown up, We both would have died. I would have failed at protecting Mina.." Uraraka's eyes begin to tear up. She really felt bad about not being strong enough to defend Mina. Getting up from his seat Kirishima gives Uraraka a gentle hug. "Don't let it get you down, as I said you both are ok and that's all that matters. Mina will be thankful that you risked your life to save her's. Which makes you a very good friend. You tried your best." Kirishima says trying to help change how she was thinking about all of this. Uraraka nods then tries to smile. "Thank you Kiri..I should probably go rest now." she says as she attempts to give him a hug before walking off. After Uraraka had left Kirishima continued to wait until Mina had woken up.
