But I didn't!

Y/n's Pov:

I'm about to get off work so I can finally go home!

I'm so excited. I can't wait to go home and lay down. Maybe eat another tv dinner and-

My thoughts were interrupted by Nezu walking in. "Sorry to interrupt Ms. L/n. I had something to discuss with you."

I shook my head and smiled. "Oh, no worries. I was just about to finish my paperwork."

"Well I was wondering if you could come back tomorrow." Huh? "Tomorrow? What for?"

"Well, some of the students from Class 1-A wanted to use the school pool so I assigned you to watch over them."

What the hell?!

"But sir, what about Sho- I mean Aizawa. He's their homeroom teacher shouldn't he watch them?"

He nodded. "Yes, he should." He paused. "That's why you'll be watching them together!"

You've got to be kidding me.

He wasn't kidding.

I sat on one of the pool chairs watching the girls play volleyball. Which is weird because I thought all of Class 1-A was going to be here.

Just as I thought that the boys came strolling in. "Oh, Ms. L/n I didn't know you were gonna be here today." Said Iida.

Yeah neither did me.

The last three boys showed up and they were working on endurance. "Ms. L/n do you want to play!" Asked Mina.

I shook my head. "No I'm alright but thanks." I have a swimsuit but I wore a big jacket so you can't see it.

But you can see my toes if you're into that.

I closed my eyes for a second and then I heard yelling. I opened them and looked over but the boys were just racing.

I closed my eyes back but there was more yelling. The boys were using their quirks so they weren't swimming.

"Guys watch out!" I groaned I opened my eyes only to be met with a big splash of water covering me head to toe.

I sat there soaking in water and looked at the doorway. Shota had taken away the boy's quirks so they caused a big splash.

"Alright go home." The boys whined but after seeing Shota's death glare they all ran.

I sighed. "You really had to do that." I wiped my face. "Oh, didn't see you there." What a jackass.

"Whatever now that they're gone I can finally swim." I got up and looked at him.

"You're actually gonna swim?" I nodded. "Yep, I'm gonna make use of my time."

I went over to the pull and quickly took off my jacket and got into the pool.

It was embarrassing to do that so that's why I quickly did it.

I let myself float in the pool. I like doing this, I open my eyes and I can't hear anything.

I can only see and I like it.

I heard muffling so I put my head up to hear. "What?" I asked. "How long are you staying here?"

I shrugged and put my head back again. "I don't know. While." I kept looking up when I noticed from the corner of my eye Shota sitting down.

Is he just watching me?

I stood up in the water and swam to the ledge and looked at him. "What are you doing?"

"Relaxing." I looked at him confused. "Arent you hot in that get-up?" He shook his head.

"No, not really." An idea popped into my head. "Hey Shota I need help with something could you come over here."

"Help with what?" Come on. "I think there's something right here I want to know if you see it too."

He sighed and got up. He came over to me and squatted. He looked in the water.

"I don't see anything." I hmmed. Then I grabbed him and pulled him into the pool.

I waited for him to come back and when he did I just laughed. "Very funny."

His hair was wet and all on his face. Like the girl from The Ring.

"Don't you feel refreshed?" I smiled at him. "I can't believe I was stupid enough to trust you."

I laughed. "Me too." I saw him smile a bit so he's not that mad.

I swam around until I remembered. "It's my turn." He hmmed.

"Usually I'm the one who reminds you." I looked at him. "Yeah." I've been doing this for while I kinda expect it.

"Anyway, this camp your students are going on, what is it?" I had heard they were going to some camp but didn't hear anything else.

"It's a training camp. Basically pushing their quirks to go further or smoother." I nodded.

That sounds amazing. I can't help but wonder if they did that when I was in school.

"You should come." I got pulled out of my thoughts. "Hm?" I gave him a questioning look.

"To the camp. With us." I laughed a bit. "I can't. I have to be here for all the other students."

He made an 'oh' face. I think he forgot I was the school counselor for a second.

"Okay, it's your turn." I waited for him to ask a question. "What are the side effects of your quirk?"

I didn't expect that question.

"Well, sometimes my mind goes blank. Sometimes my emotions will go out of control."

I paused. "But I can't control them by inhaling or touching pink roses. Not any roses just pink ones."

He nodded. "So that's why you had them last time." I tried to think but remembered that he stalked me once.

Forgot that happened.

I looked up at the sky. "I think it's getting late." He quickly got out of the pool and checked his phone. "Yeah, it is."

I got out and grabbed a towel. I started drying myself off when Shota spoke.

"Y/n." I hmmed. "After the camp." He paused and I looked at him. "Would you want to go on a date?"

I stopped and just looked at him. My head was saying yes. I think my heart was too.

But my body wanted to curl up into a ball.

I cleared my throat. "Your turns over." His eyes widen. "What?" I nodded. "Yeah, you can't ask me a question 'cause you already used your turn."

I grinned at him. "Guess you'll have to ask me when you get back." I started walking away when I heard him call my name.

But I didn't turn around I just kept walking.

Don't worry, I hate myself that I don't say yes. I should have. Why didn't I? I know I wanted to.

But I didn't.
