Chapter 5: A sudden change(5)

Cale gathered everyone in his room. Choi Han, Rosalyn, Lock, Ron, Beacrox, the three children, naturally, the two dragons are present. Mila and Dodori are not here because they need to tend their garden.

Cale puts a map at the table, and he then points south.

"This is the southern continent."

His hand then shifted towards the southwest part of the southern continent. You can see a big mountain on the map where Cale is pointing.

"And this is where the Mt. Kitsune is."

"This is where we will be going."

The two dragons were staring at the map while the others looked at Cale with confused expressions, especially Rosalyn.

Cale placed a paper on top of the map; It was the paper Basen had given to Cale about his mission that Alberu ordered.

"This is the mission that His Majesty has given to us."

Cale holds the paper and swings it back and forth while talking. He then added.

"We will investigate the mountain because the fog has started to cover the whole area. The villagers who lived near the mountain stated that the fog seemed weird and bewitched people to come to the mountain."

Cale put away the map, took out another piece of paper, and placed it on the table. The paper has a drawing of a person on it; It was the person that Eruhaben showed to Cale earlier. Of course, this was drawn by Cale himself since he had already recorded it earlier.

Gasp

They heard someone gasp. They looked towards the place where the noise was and saw Rosalyn covering her mouth, and her eyes opened; she looked shocked. She looked at the paper while looking shocked and bewildered at what she saw.

"Miss Rosalyn?"

Cale called her out, confused about what was going on. Rosalyn let go of her mouth when she heard Cale calling her and started to speak.

"Is- Is that... Fox-Fox tribe?"

She's stuttering, and her voice sounds shocked. She swallowed her saliva before repeating her question.

"Young master Cale, is that the Fox tribe?"

She looks at Cale with seriousness visible on her face and voice, even though she feels nervous asking that question.

Cale looks at her eyes before answering.

"Yes"

It was only short, but his reply made Rosalyn anxious. She clenched her hands and bit her lips. Her voice is shaking this time, and she keeps stuttering.

"Why-Why are... yo-you mentioning tha-that tribe, Young Master..."

Cale is shocked at Rosalyn's current state. She looks scared more than anxious.

'Just what kind of tribe is this Fox tribe?! Even Rosalyn has the same expression as Eruhaben earlier when he heard about the Fox tribe!'

Cale is annoyed because of this tribe, and this mission makes him hesitate whether to go and do this mission or not. He also debated if he could take Choi Han or not since he's worried about that bewitching stuff.

'Damn it!'

Cale then opened his mouth to speak, but someone was faster than him.

"Rosalyn."

Someone called Rosalyn. Cale glanced at his side and saw Eruhaben-nim, which also had the same seriousness as Rosalyn had on her face earlier.

"Do you know about this tribe as well?"

Eruhaben asked, which made Rosalyn's expression worsen. Rosalyn is not acting like her usual calm self. She lowered her head as if she were telling Eruhaben that she didn't want to talk about it.

Eruhaben sighs at this sight and shakes his head while mumbling something.

"The Fox tribe is worse than I thought..."

Eruhaben then signaled Cale with his chin to continue, and Cale did so.

"So for this trip, we will be departing in three days. Make sure to pack everything you need and also, Raon."

"Yes, Human!"

Cale glanced at Raon before continuing his words.

"Call Mary and tell her to come to the black castle in two days."

Cale then sat on a chair after saying what he needed to say to Raon.

"Ah, and one more thing, we will be discussing our plan two days from now on."

They stare at Cale for a while before nodding their heads.

'I don't know what Cale-nim/Young Master/Cale is talking about. We'll follow him for now.'

Everyone thought the same thing, and then they left the room. Only Cale and the kids are left in the room.

Two days had passed. Cale is still rolling in his bed.

'Today will be the last day of my vacation...'

Cale's gloomy atmosphere surrounded him because he would miss this vacation where he could slack off whatever he wanted.

"I want to be a slacker..."

Cale mumbled to himself before standing up and sitting on the couch.

"Human! Good Mary is here!"

Raon shouted while entering the room through the window, and he was covered in leaves as he looked like he had fallen on a tree or rolled himself on the ground full of leaves.

'Why does this dragon, who calls himself great and mighty, look like this? Messy... but cute.'

Cale grabbed a cloth and wrapped it around Raon before dragging him to the bathroom to shower.

"Puwah! Human, why did you suddenly do that?!"

Cale removed the bundle, and Raon jerked his head up and glared at Cale because of his sudden actions.

Pshh-

"Wah! Human!"

Cale poured a bucket of water at Raon and started to shower him. Raon struggled at first, but when he felt Cale's warm touch and began to wash him gently, he calmed down and let Cale shower him.

He sat still until Cale finished showering him. After Cale showered Raon, he showered while telling Ron, who entered the bathroom, which gave Cale quite a shock, to prepare his clothes for today.

*TIME SKIP*

"Cale-nim, I gathered everyone."

Choi Han stated that everyone present two days ago is here, including Mary.

"Okay, shall we start?"

Cale started to smile as he thought of a good plan to deal with those foxes, but he didn't know his strategy would backfire on him.
