Chapter 6: Pretend Dead(2)

The sound of the dokkaebi’s laughter was heard.

[Is there any fun if you just run away? Let’s create a bit of atmosphere!]

[The evil thoughts of the dead have returned.]

[The surrounding earth is filled with black ether.]

[The demonic people have woken up!]

There was the sound of something chasing us from behind. Yoo Sangah muttered to herself.

“Z-Zombies?”

Zombie-like bodies were coming in huge waves. Some of them were people from the same carriage as us.

“Damn, they don't look like the zombie we saw at all. These look horrifyingly ugly.” Barrow said with a snort.

Cale couldn't hear them why? Because his leg was caught by 3 lady zombies!

Cale tried to kick them but the zombies kept on hugging his legs and waist and that's how he fell on his face.

Barrow and the others jumped to the next side already except Kim Dokja, Yoo Sangah and Han Myungoh.

'Ey! Do not touch my face! This bastard! Hey, not the gold!' He was screaming in his mind. His was touched by the two ladies and one of them took the golds on his pocket.

Barrow on the other side was screaming. Although Cale couldn't hear him, he was sure that the other was angry. Barrow shouted, “Hey you motherf*cking zombies! Dare to seduce my brother with those ugly faces of yours!?”

Kim Dokja who heard him looked at Cale who was laying on the ground with more zombies  gathering at him. He felt weird to see this why? Cause the zombies didn't eat or bite him they just touched his face.

Cale who was the victim even more confused as f*ck. '...Are they that greedy for money?'

He tried to move his body, only to be pressed more. If someone saw him, they could see that he wanted to kill someone.

"You damn! Ugh!" Barrow hit the barrier that kept him from going to his little brother. Since he has success on going across the bridge, he couldn't go outside anymore.

Kwaaaaang!

The legs of the bridge shook tremendously as the ichthyosaur’s huge mouth bit it.

The scales of the ichthyosaur shone through the dust that poured down onto Han River like rain. A fishy smell of blood and water filled the area.

'Sea food...not the time, Cale.' Cale gritted his teeth. He couldn' see anything as he was blocked by these zombies. They didn't even make any dangerous move, they just stared and touches his face. The ones who pinned him down were heavy. So he couldn't move at all.

He was sure after hearing the noise before the bridge is broken.

At that moment, a voice was heard in the air.

[Someone has received the favour of a constellation.]

[The constellation’s scenario ‘Deus Ex Machina’ has been activated.]

Along with the voice, a brilliant bridge made of light was created among the remnants of the broken Dongho Bridge.

[Deus Ex Machina – Even Bridge]

Description: A bridge of light made by a constellation. Only an ‘even’ number of people can cross the bridge. The bridge will disappear as soon as an ‘odd’ number of people tries to cross it.
