Y/n's pov:

Today I'm finally going to accompany Ms Venable to run some errands. I pick out a beautiful beige dress with baby pink lace and 3/4 sleeves. I make sure I look good because I want to make a good first impression with the people in town.

I go downstairs and there's Ms Venable waiting for me. "Looking fancy today Ms Y/l/n, that dress looks very nice on you" She said and I blushed feeling proud of my outfit. "Thank you Ms" I said back. "Shall we go Ms Y/l/n?" She asks offering her arm to me. "We shall" I responded while hooking my arm with hers.

We exit the house and got into her carriage. Again it was such a nice carriage. I wonder how she has this many money. "Ms Venable I hope you don't mind the question but how do you afford all this expensive things?"

"Well y/n I am a very important investor for this town, and my family's business is a huge farm product provider to the island. Maybe one day you can be part of that" Wow imagine. Y/n Venable. Mrs. Venable. Has a nice ring to it.

"That would be great, but I don't know if finance and that sort of things is my area of expertise" I told her. "Interesting. Then what can you do? What do you want your future to be?" Ms Venable asked. "Well um... my dream has always been to dedicate my life to art, especially dance. I love the way people can express and tell so many things through their body and movements, without having to use words, that seems so powerful to me. But that's just a dream. I'll probably just end up being a housewife or something."

"Don't be so hard on yourself. To achieve your dreams you have to believe in yourself first. You think that being included in the family business was something easy? It wasn't, because 'women aren't supposed to be doing the hard work'. But I fought for that position, I fought for my legacy, and now basically the whole company is run by me. I'd say you can do it little one." She said smiling at me. I blushed and I felt butterflies in my tummy hearing her call me that. "That's so inspiring. You deserve to be where you are now."

There was some comfortable silence until she spoke. "Okay Ms Y/l/n we're here. I'm going to the tailors and then to the library, while you go and get me these in the pharmacy, and this at the little store down the street. Then we will meet here at 2. If you have some spare time you can visit other stores, just don't go too far." I nodded and she hand me 2 shopping lists.

We parted ways and I look around for the pharmacy. After finding it I go in. I approach the man at the counter and showed him my list. "Hello sir, I'm looking for this medication, do you happen to have it?" I asked. "Yes we do miss, but I'm afraid I can't sell the, without a prescription." He said apologetic. I try to think of a way to get them but he says:

"You are new in town aren't ya? You don't look familiar." "Why yes sir I got here a week ago. I'm staying with Ms Venable, do you know her?" "Ah yes I do. I knew I recognized that list of medicine. So you're staying with her? She's not the type to just let someone live with her."

"Yeah I am, and yes I'm getting the medication for her." I said. He looked at me while he was thinking. "I'm gonna have to give you the medicine just this once. Wouldn't want Ms Venable getting mad at either of us. So... pain killers for back pain, numbing cream, some calming herbs and a heating pad. That'll be $0.75" Why would she need all this.

"Thank you, here you go, next time I'll bring the prescription. Have a nice day sir." I said grabbing my stuff and leaving for the next task. Store. There it is. I enter and examine the list.

A sack of flour
Sugar
Tomatoes
Celery
Blueberries
A sack of oranges
Black pepper
Turmeric
Brie cheese

Easy enough. I grab a basket and start gathering the items on the list. I've got everything except the flour. I try to get it but with all the things I'm carrying I failed. "Mind if I help?" A kind voice said. "Please do" I said now looking at him. He looked about my age, black hair, brown eyes and had a beautiful smile.
