Good views bring out the worst in me.

I try to move but I am stuck in this position. I'm completely stunned by what my eyes percieve. There she stands. Suri, my best friend whoam I have known for forever. It's been a long time since I saw her. Somehow we just didn't 'fit' anymore and our lives drifted apart.

She gives me a crooked smile and I try to hide my hope. Maybe she's the only salvation I have from this prison.

"Long time no see.", she says

"Sure", I mumble not knowing what to say.

"I... I heard you were here", she tries to say

Oh so apparently they discovered who I am. Great.

"Well, you see me, don't you?", I answer.

Do I sound rude? Oh well it was her decision to come here.

"Yeah... I thought you would like some company", she says.

Oh that enthousiasm.

"I'd actually enjoy some time by myself", I lie, I can only think of being with one person: Charles.

"Oh, okay, should I go?", she sounds brokenhearted. And her face just looks woeful.

I decide I should let her stays. Just imagine she gets turned into this prison too.

"Could we go somewhere to.. you know... talk?", she asks. I feel her eyes burning on my back as I walk away from her. I put my hand up signing she has to come with me and I hear her saunter behind me seconds later.

She doesn't complain about the spot I choose or says anything about it. I've choosen my favorite spot the window on the 4th floor. It has by far the greatest view of all views I've ever discovered or experienced. It's outlying compared to everything else here. I like to get out of the lines.

"Just a little reminder; we were friends before, but now I see us as acquaintances, is that understood", I say as I try to not sound harsh because of this rude sentence I just spilled.

She just nods.

"I don't know why you came here, but I figured I could use your help", I tell her.

"I just came to check on you"

"Why?"

"Because I still care about you."

"Whatever." God, I hate these kind of things. And I certainly don't want to answer them.

"So what do you want from me?", she frowns.
