As the soft flakes of snow danced outside his window, Me-oongi couldn't help but feel a pang of longing. His fluffy white ears twitched as he watched the winter wonderland unfold, a scene of pure magic beyond the confines of his cozy abode.

"Suga!"

The call of his human, Ara, interrupted his daydream. She always seemed to be on the lookout for him, disrupting his royal solitude with her mundane requests.

"Where are you hiding, my sweet love?"

Me-oongi's narrow eyes narrowed further in annoyance. While he adored Ara in his own feline way, her constant intrusions grated on his majestic sensibilities. He longed for autonomy, to rule his own destiny like the regal creature he knew himself to be. After all, he was certain he hailed from a line of distinguished felines, perhaps even royalty in a past life.

Perched on the windowsill, he surveyed his domain below, a silent observer of the bustling street. In his mind's eye, he was the master of this realm, untethered by human whims and constraints.

"Suga," Ara's voice echoed once more, closer this time, shattering his reverie. "Sweety, do you want fish or chicken for dinner?"

His stomach rumbled in response, betraying his grumpy facade as he began to purr softly at the thought of his favorite food.

"There you are!"

"Which will it be?"

"Meow," Me-oongi replied, his voice laden with unspoken disappointment.

"Fish it is."

I said ramen, you fool!

😿

Sulking at the thought of missing out on his desired meal, Me-oongi turned his back on Ara. The needy little cat being so hard to please was nothing new.  Despite his stoic demeanor, Ara could sense his displeasure, the little prince proving to be a challenging companion once again.

Giving up with a sigh, Ara curled up on the couch and tapped the seat next to her for him to come. Of course, Me-oongi would only come when he felt like it but it was worth a try. Though he was a creature of his own whims, she hoped he might choose to share her company for a while. As she lost herself in the pages of her book, the grumpy Me-oongi eventually relented, snuggling close in a rare display of affection.

Yet, as he gazed out at the falling snow, a wistful longing tugged at his heartstrings. The pristine landscape beckoned, a tantalizing invitation to a world beyond his reach. If only he could trade one of his nine lives for a taste of freedom, he mused.

With a melancholy sigh, Me-oongi drifted off to sleep, his dreams filled with visions of snowy escapades and untold adventures. Perhaps one day, he dared to hope, his wish would be granted, and he would roam the winter wonderland as the true prince he believed himself to be.

Ara had no idea that her little Suga dreamed of playing in the snow, and he had no idea how wet and cold that experience could be.
