Working as a general surgeon and a resident

ADA'S POV

1 year later

Hey, it's been one year since I became an intern for the first year batch. Marami na rin akong natutuhan, maraming nangyayaring hindi inaasahan, maraming pagkakamaling hindi naitama kaagad at hinayaan na lang na maghilom nang kusa.

Pagkalabas na pagkalabas namin sa locker room, bumungad kaagad sa aming lahat si Dr. Bailey na nakapamewang doon at may dala-dalang charts sa mga kamay nito.

"There's another round on the ambulance bay. Run, people!" She exclaimed and we all ran off to the ambulance bay with our scrubs and ourselves. "Okay, people. Every patient with severe head traumas or injuries, go on the trauma rooms, understood?"

"Yes, Ma'am!" Another synchronization it is.

"Katie Bruce, having a seizures this morning, got a slice of a glass on her right side of her head." The paramedic stated.

"Preston, take over it." Dr. Bailey said and the other interns helped Preston.

"Johnson Flurry, got into a car accident and has windshield wiper on the right side of his abdomen. He got seizures earlier on the ambulance."

"Okay, Ada let's get this." I pushed the stretcher inside and addressed the patient on the trauma number two. "He needs a surgery for this, we need to get that windshield out of it. Ada, get me his MRI and CT Scan, run his labs and page me if you got them, okay?"

"Okay, Dr. Bailey." We nodded to each other, I ran off towards the MRI room, placing him on the equipment and waiting for his results. "Gonna page Dr. Bail------Wait a second, is that?" My eyes widened, my mind is not processing like gosh! "I need to page Dr. Bailey now." I whispered to myself and ran to the nurses station to page Dr. Bailey, I waited there an hour because she's on a surgery.

When she came, we got back on the MRI room and observe the image. This man needs a liver transplant because of the liver failure he endured plus the windshield that stuck on his abdomen right now. Dr. Bailey wanted me to book an O.R and I did, here we are now, operating and transplating liver to someone who really need it right now.

2 years later

Hey! Another years came and here we are now! Two years had passed again and here we are, still on the race of internship here in Seattle Grace Hospital. One year left and I'm out with this internship if I passed then intern exams.

"Hey, malapit lapit na ah?" Umakbay sa akin si Preston, nakangiti na abot-langit. "Anong specialty kukuhanin mo? May napili ka na ba?"

"Well, I'm into general surgeries, ikaw?" He chuckles and fixed my hair. "One year na lang, tapos na tayong lahat. Resident na rin tayo, gosh."

"Yeah and I'm taking cardio surgeries." My mouth formed an '0' right now, I already knew. "You seemed shocked, hindi ba suit sa akin, Ada?"

"Everything suits you, Preston Burke." I syllablelise his surname that made him chuckles. "It's just... I really expected it that you'll pick cardio overall."

"You do?" He asked and I nodded. "A drink to JOE'S?"

"Sure, after shift."

"Hell yeah."
