The tower of Himir stood tall and arrogant above the underpopulated city of Mrntrshy. In it were guards and knights wearing black armor and bearing steel blades stolen from Gorliatoriorr and Mirdrith and Bertengea. The urban population also carried swords but they mainly came from Clindorrr and Glasscutter.
The tower did not inhabit Himir. Himir walked inside Mount Norrtori's red hole. He walked around naked and barefoot, with only a mask on. He had a sort of shield of flame and possibly plasma around him, and he was hotter than the magma he walked close over.
For the few years after Nalanir's threat upon his life he stayed true to his promise to Nalanir and did not try to betray him. But now he grew impatient. He did not gather enough men to be able to conquer the entire world. He was incapable of being invaded, but the same was true for the rest of the world too. He thought about when he saw Amarjla for the first time, and about how Amarjla had one other giant master eye. That master eye must've been the most powerful one, right? And so if he could just somehow obtain it, he would be able to topple Berteng, maybe Yaredase and even Nalanir. He respected Nalanir as a wizard and sorcerer, but he quickly wanted to be the second greatest being in the universe, and the single most powerful if even slightly possible. He remembered that Nalanir was the name of the man who killed his father, and the loss of his son to the first Dark Lord's men still lingered in its effects.
Maybe Nalanir was being controlled by Amarjla's also lingering wrath. That could be the most likely reason for Nalanir being able to control Himir's eye without holding it himself. Maybe Nalanir wanted to rule the world in secret as to not be the target of usurpation. He could not possibly hold his own against the entire world, can he? But he does have control over four of the eyes of Amarjla. He does possess the power of a god. But Himir's descendant of the same name simply transferred himself into his sword to kill Amarjla, so if everyone else could do it, Nalanir would not stand a chance. He is bound to an immortal, but still human form.
These were all the thoughts in the mind of Himir Marmolon, the second public Dark Lord. His father's persistent urge to gain more and more power, whether influential or physical of magical, was passed down to him as can be seen of his thoughts.
