Sorry, I had this idea and I couldn't not write it! Context, S&M are toys that come to life due to you being able to make them alive somehow. Overtime, Sun gets lonely when you have to work, so you get Moon for company. However, Sun doesn't seem to like this turn of events...

Once upon a time, there was a lonely toymaker. This toymaker could create the most wonderful things, but that left greedy suitors to take their fortune from them. After trying countless times to find someone to love, the toymaker gave up. Too many greedy people wanted their "love". However, that was about to change one fateful morning. The toymaker was walking in town past all the little shops that lined the street, until one vendor, a fellow toymaker, called out to them.

"Hey, excuse me! You over there!" The salesman cried out.

"I've heard you've been looking for a companion, eh? Well, look no further than to our latest display!" The man grabbed your hand and led you to the display case of the shop's window.

Inside the display hung a sun themed puppet that seemed to be at least 10ft tall. The puppet seemed to be made out of rubber and plush material. Its clothes were made of more expensive material. Its shirt was a simple white button-up with poofy cuffs. The shirt was tucked into the puppets similarly poofy pants that were red with yellow stripes. The pants were adorned with jester-esk frills on the waist of the pants. The shoes were also jester-like, a little bell hung from the end of the shoes that curled upwards. Sun patterns were plastered on the side of the shoe. Long red ribbons were tied around the wrist of the puppet as well as the neck, each bow having a bell attached.

You let out a huff as you turned towards the salesman, "How is this meant to help me?" You gestured towards the display.

"Well, I know how you make your toys alive and such, so I thought you could use this as your companion." The man stuttered, trying to get you to buy the product.

You looked at the price tag for the puppet, 150$.

"150$, are you trying to play me for a fool?" You raised your voice, he just wants your money.

"Well you see, the product is made out of expensive material, so we had to raise the price to make up for that." The man stuttered uncontrollably.

You turned to the puppet, "No wonder it hasn't been bought yet."

You stared at the puppet's hollow eyes, what pretty blue color they were. How would its expression change when alive? Could a puppet be able to actually provide you company?

"Fine, I'll buy it. Does it have a name?"

"Ah, yes it does! His name is Sun. He's one of a kind too!" The man scrambled himself together, trying to look composed by your purchase.

Sun, how creative.

That day you came home with a new toy, but one that was different from your other works. You set Sun against the wall behind your work table. You sat at your table and began to work your magic. Days and nights passed as you worked, but eventually you made what every toy needed to be alive, a mechanical heart. Turning to Sun, you cut open his back and placed the heart. After stitching him up, making sure not to nick any of his clothes in the process, you went back to your table and began working on a client's toy. You knew it took time for the heart to awaken the toy.
