𝗔 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘁 || 𝗢𝗻𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴

PROLOGUE

“Love is not just about affection, it's about caring, patience, high tolerance and sarifices. ”

It was raining heavily, the sounds of lightning, thunder, the drop of rains falling on the street and the rooftops could be heard all over the city of Seoul. The city was indeed quite this rainy day. Only a few cars or other vehicles could be seen on the streets. It was same for the people as well.

It was like the city was resting, the workers, businessmen, actor, actress, kids, normal people etc etc. Perhaps it's because of the melody of the rain?— Who wouldn't like to stay in their warm bed in such a sleepy weather? The rain was like the mother of every single thing in the city as it sings a beautiful melody and let the city rest/sleep in peace in it's lap.

Jeon Jungkook and Kim Jisoo were one of them, drafting into sleep as they hears the melody of the rain falling onto their rooftops. Jisoo was lying on her warm bed while her 'so called' friend was at the couch which was in the opposite side of the bed.

As their eyes got heavy and it was only a matter of short time before they enter their dreamland. Jeon Jungkook suddenly remembered something— as he quickly jump out  of the couch and into the bed in which Jisoo was laying in.

By the sudden movement, the girl got startled as she quickly sat on the bed and look around, she thought something happened?— otherwise why would Jungkook ruin her beauty sleep?

"What is it Jeon? —" She asked diverting her eyes from the room to Jungkook who was sitting in the edge of the bed staring at her and snickering? — Jisoo frowned, smacking his head slightly with an annoyed look. "Are you okay?— did you forgot to take your daily mental medicines?" She mocked.

"No I remembered something" Replied with a smug look as if he don't care if the girl is annoyed or pissed at his behavior. Jisoo facepalmed, what more could she expect from him?— a sigh escaped her lips and she asked back,

"And that is?"

"So I was falling asleep and my mind suddenly remembered how I met you. Remember? Like an year ago, on that rainy day...."

"Idiot, we met before in the college few days before that rainy day...." She spoke after a moment of silence, processing what was he saying. Like don't he have other thing to think of? — other then these which just disturbed the peaceful room and her peaceful sleep.

Jungkook trailed off thinking of correct words to fire back at her, "I— well we became friends on that rainy day. So we can say we met on that day"

Jisoo sighed again, she knew she will surely lose her temper if she keep talking with this guy so she layed down again covering herself with the blanket, "Is that so. I see, now go and don't disturb me"

Jungkook roll his eyes but didn't moved an inch as the memory of that day flashed through his mind as a tiny smile decorated his lips. He must day, that day was something worth remembering.

"Remember the bet we made on that day?" Without caring if Jisoo have even heard it or not, he continued on his own looking up at the ceiling, "A lot have changed since then, haven't it?—"

"I lost the bet we made, yet I still won— cause I got that someone who was the reason I made that bet with you. That girl who have captured my heart for long... I finally got it because of you. And I'm really thankful for it" He lowered his voice as he continued talking,

"Those idiotic and silly days we had cause of that bet. I still remember it all, it was fun. But it is indeed a pity that it will never come back even though I want it to"

"And I'm glad you didn't fall for me, cause even though I said I will made you fall. It will be quite troublesome for me to not hurt your feelings, cause you know I like that certain someone right? —"

"I would never like to hurt your feelings cause you became so important to me in this one year time —" He decided the not continue more cause he felt crazy since he knew that Jisoo have already fall asleep before he started talking and that he was only talking with himself. Chuckling a bit he steal a glance at Jisoo before going back to the couch and closing his eyes.

Jisoo on the other side didn't opened her eyes as she turned on the other side of the bed, facing the wall as tiny drops of tears fall from her close eyes, slowly covering her mouth, she opened her eyes filled with tears.

“Are you sure that I didn't fall for you? Don't how I act towards you obvious that I'm already madly in love with you?”

“You don't want to hurt me yet you're doing it unconsciously....”

“I can't blame you either.....you got your one while I'm watching you walking away from me and to her....”

“I — I wish I didn't met you Jeon Jungkook.”
