"NO ALORA, IM DONE" I wail, sobbing like a kid as my friend chuckled.

"Think of it as fate Ray" She laughed.

"No you don't get it!" I whine, pushing my face into the pillow for the thousandth time and screaming.

"Ok I brought cookies, now if you two must, then please go ahead and tell me everything from A to Z" Laraine said, setting a whole tray of freshly baked cookies infront of me.

"Ray, she is waiting" Alora pushed and Laraine sat down, crossing her arms.

"Ok fine!" I huff, shoving a whole cookie in my mouth and chewing it.

Wow almonds!

"So you remember that I went to that club a week ago right?"

"Yes"

"You remember I told you I made out with someone, right?"

"Hm"

"Well, HE IS MY BOSS, DA PERSON I'M WORKING FOR!" I complain, burying my head in the pillow, again.

"So what?" Lara asked confused, looking over to her sister who was giggling.

"Well it's not just BOSS it's FREAKING SKY KELLER, CEO OF THE HIGHLAND!" Alora squeals, hugging a pillow dreamily.

"WHAT!" Lara shouts, looking at me weirdly before literally grabbing my collar and shaking me.

"WAIT YOU WORK FOR HIGHLAND AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO TELL ME!? AND SKY KELLER!? AHHHH"

"Relax sis, our poor boy just found out who Sky was." Alora soothed, biting into a chocolate chip cookie.

Who was Sky? He was the billionaire-model cum entrepreneur. He started Highland when he was just 17 and guess what? The company owns the largest share in real estate and has the largest hotel chain in US.

"How did you not know who he was? Like did you not even research you idiot?" Lara complained, rolling her eyes.

"I was rejected so many times because of PTSD that come on, I DIDN'T EVEN EXPECT I WOULD GET THIS JOB! And, if I wasn't sure then why would I do any research!?"

"But seriously though, what did he say when he saw you again?" Alora asked me, hugging the pillow again, as she sat crosslegged beside me.

"He"

"He?"

"He-"

"He what!?"

"He doesn't remember me"

"WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCKKKKKK" Lara groans and Alora just sat there, gaping.

"Why!?" She asks me finally, grabbing my shoulders and violently shaking me.

I was surely gonna break some bones if they kept shaking me.

"Because he was drunk?" I whisper and she looks at me dead in the eyes.

"It's not fate then, it's just a coincidence then" she declares, taking a raisin cookie from the tray and rudely stuffing it in my mouth.

"Ew, why would you do that? AND WhO liKEs rAIsIns in CoOKiEs?" I scrunch my face up.

"Well, I guess we can't do anything about it then. To be honest I didn't know Sky was gay" Lara says, taking the last chocolate cookie.

"You don't wanna do that Lara" I warned but she just stuck out her tongue at me and ate the whole thing in one bite.

"Nooooooo" I wailed and buried my face in the pillow, AGAIN.

I didn't even get to eat one of those cookies!

"Um you okay Ray?" Alora poked my ribs and I sigh sitting up.

"You owe me an apology Laraine Chester!" I huff in annoyance, placing my face cover, I mean, pillow in my lap.

"By the way Ray, dad asked us to ask you how were you doing. You no longer visit him, so he was worried" Lara said, he voice suddenly getting all serious.

Oof I hate when that happens.

"Um, yeah, also-" Alora said, taking my hand in hers, "-we wanted to know how you were doing, mentally".

A little heads up, Derek Chester, my psychologist, is the father of Laraine and Alora.

"Hm I'm fine. I guess running away was the best option. I still get the nightmares and sleep paralysis though" I say, fiddling with my thumbs.

"Oh Ray-" Alora mutters and hugs me.

Lara waits for a second before getting up and joining in on the hug.

"Thank you for being here for me guys" I whisper, closing my eyes.

No matter how hard I try, all I feel is pain.

My life is fucked up, just like me.
