"Can I get another beer, Tor?" Rocco asked from the other side of the bar.

"Yeah, Roc." Victoria replied, taking his old glass and filling up a new one. She handed it to him and he smiled at her gratefully.

"Where are the boys?" He asked, taking a mouthful of his drink.

"Working late. Had a meeting with their boss or something." She explained, tidying the bar. It was exceptionally quiet in the pub tonight, and only Rocco and a couple other guys sat across from her.

"Are they in trouble?" He laughed.

"Maybe a little." She said with a shrug. "They haven't been getting along with a coworker."

Rocco nodded. "I think they've mentioned her to me before."

"I wouldn't be surprised." Victoria laughed, leaning on the bar. "She kicked Connor in the balls and Murph decked her."

The hairy man let out a loud laugh, shaking his head. "Sounds about right, honestly. So, will they be showing up here tonight?"

"I hope so. I don't love walking home by myself." She replied, glancing up at the clock to check the time. It was only 8PM, but she wouldn't be working very late tonight and she knew the boys would rather die than have her walk home alone.

"When do you finish? I'll walk you home." Rocco offered, straightening up on his stool and grinning.

Victoria chewed on the inside of her cheek, thinking about her options. She knew she could trust Rocco, and she knew Connor and Murphy would much rather he accompany her home then she go alone.

"Are you sure? I finish at 9." She said, fearing she was asking too much.

"Great. We can chill here for another hour and then I'll take you back to your apartment." He concluded happily, finishing his drink.

Victoria smiled at how cheerful Rocco looked in that moment. She had known the man for such a long time, and enjoyed his company, but had never really gotten to know him outside of the pub. He had asked her out plenty of times in the past and was always there to boost her confidence, but right now he felt like a genuine friend to her.

"Thanks, Roc. That's actually really sweet of you." She said, pouring him another beer.

She spent the remainder of her shift chatting with Rocco, laughing loudly at his jokes. There was a reason people referred to him as 'the funny man'. He had the ability to make an entire room of people laugh, and lift any tension that lay in the air.

"So, you and the boys still going strong?" Rocco asked her, tipping his glass slightly in her direction.

Victoria grinned at him as she stacked glasses underneath the bar. "We are."

"I remember you telling me you didn't date customers." Rocco stated, smirking widely.

Victoria felt herself blush and she adverted her eyes from him, laughing. She knew her past comment would come back to bite her eventually. "I broke my own rule." She replied, meeting his eyes again with a guilty smile.

Rocco finished his drink and set it down in front of him,  running a hand through his shaggy beard. "I'm just playing, Tor. You three are good together."

"How are you and Donna?" Victoria asked, leaning on the bar once again. Rocco spoke about his on-again-off-again girlfriend often, but Victoria had never met her. She didn't particularly want to either.

Rocco shrugged, the smile dropping from his face. "Ah, I don't really know right now. I haven't seen her in a while. I think she's been on a bender."

He had mentioned a few times in the past that Donna was a drug addict, and Victoria was always confused as to why Rocco stayed with her. They didn't even seem to get along most the time. She hated that Rocco's light seemed to dim every time he spoke about his girlfriend. She so badly wanted him to find somebody else.
