He closed his backpack, remaining as quiet as he could. Tying his long hair up into a messy ponytail, he picked up his bag and slowly walked down the stairs, they creaked with each step.

Arguing was heard from the kitchen, and even physical violence was heard. It was normal. He took the chance he had while the house was loud, opening the squeaky front door he ran and never turned back. He quickly ran out of breath yet still ran.

I couldn't risk it, I just got free. No way I'm going back now  He thought to himself and picked up his pace

He quickly turned around a sharp corner and fell to the ground crying. He planned this for so long and he finally did it, he left. He just smiled to himself.

He stood up and began to walk. He didn't know where he was going but he felt safer now.

Walking into a small yet pricey corner shop, he grabbed a couple of drinks and some snacks. He slipped a small bar of chocolate into his pocket, shifting it to not seem suspicious. He slowly walked up to the cashier and placed the items, he was holding, onto the counter, 2 bottles of water, 3 energy drinks, 1 bag of candy and 2 bags of mixed nuts. The tall bearded man stared at Leondre for a few seconds, he seemed a little judgemental. The man scanned the items and looked at Leondre again.

 Silence.

"£23.43 please." with a deep voice, it was raspy and cut off at the end. He looked up at the man and began to count the total in the coins he had. Handing in the metal to the cashier, he took the items and placed them in his bag. He hastily walked out of the store before the cashier noticed the missing chocolate, and also the fact he had just given him £20 instead of £23.43.
