The girl was of Sheikah descent, dressed in the normal attire of Sheikah peoples. There's a man adorned with Sheikah clothing, too. I silently admired their tech- mainly a small construct of a manta ray laced with the blue hues of the sheikah technology of Hyrule's past- until Link returned. She asked me the question once more. I firmly pressed my lips together, hoping she's going to elaborate. As if to answer my silent prayers, she continues. "Linky! Your little companion is just as silent as I remember you being! What's your name, girlie?" This girl was Purah. I of course already knew this, but for the sake of keeping my momentum as one who had little knowledge of the people here- I asked questions. Purah was staring expectantly at me, and only then did I realize she asked my name. I shifted my hands to my sides, realizing I was fidgeting. What a way to make a first impression, moron.
Shaking the thought aside, I reply. "I am Y/N. You are?" Purah sends a knowing glance my way, giggling. Not exactly sure what she knows, but she knows something. Link seemed to clear his throat.
"This is Purah, a former royal scientist. She helps with my slate, as well as Symin over there." Link gestures to Symin, who gives a small wave. He already remembers them? There was not a time I remembered this in game. I send my silent greetings back. Link shifts his focus back to Purah. "We are here for information on Y/N." Purah giggles, as I slide my slate on the table before her. Her interest is piqued, but she starts sharing, her now taking quick looks at the odd slate.
"There's a prophecy of some awesome hero appearing from some distant land, with knowledge almost rivaling the Sheikah and the royal family. In her little tale I remember something about her knowing the distant past and bringing it to life? Don't know what it means but this slate seems to be powerless right now, so I'll tinker with it! Come back later, Linky and Tinky!" Purah started tinkering with the slate. I was rather lacking in fondness for the name she gave me. While I tried to figure out why that name felt so familiar, Symin came to speak to us. He nodded as a sort of hello, then spoke.

"You've seemed to pique her interest with the slate, so she left important details out. Y/N, you have... abilities. I am not exactly sure what they are, but you possess something called spiritual power, which allows you to perform an ancient art, magic. However, there are trials for you to face, and memories for you to collect. You do not seem to notice, but Purah and I are aware you are from a world separate from our own. But, Hylia gave us visions of your being, and you visited us temporarily. A few years, to say. You stayed with Purah and I for most of 2 years. Does any of this ring a bell?" He looked like a parent trying to remind their child who they are. Hesitantly, I shook my head. "This is unfortunate, but I do believe you will remember when you do your trials. For now, you two can head to the inn, we've reserved a room for you two." We nodded, silently appreciative of their help. "So quiet, compared to before... you inspired my studies not too long ago..." Symin seemed to mumble as we left. As Link and I started down the path back to Hateno, a sharp pain spread through my head. I kneeled, gripping my head as my vision clouded to white.

Memory 1, Symin.

"This place is incredible in person, Sy! Especially those blue flames, ours is a boring orange all the time!" I beamed, staring at the ancient flames, giddy to see them in person. Symin smiled, a sense of fondness emanating from him as we walked down the hill to Hateno. "Say, Sy. How many years has it been since the princess had Link put in that chamber?" He nearly dropped his notebook at the mention of the chamber. None really knew about the chamber, but I thought he'd remember, right?

"About 40 years ago, little Y/N." I generally despised the nickname, but it was better than Tinky, the nickname I earned with Purah. Kids weren't supposed to know what I know, which is why I was hidden from most of the world, or protected at all times. I didn't really need it, since my curiosity was only for Symin, Purah and Robbie.

"The hero will return, Sy! No need to look so sad. Maybe 60 years, and you'll see! My friend will come back!" I beamed, Symin patting my head and smiling fondly.

Memory 2, Purah

Purah was working on something big for the royal family. I was curious, so I bothered her non-stop. One day, my efforts paid off when she let me come in to help. She was pretty, and tall. "Girlie, why must you interrupt my studies!?" She was irritated, and that's mostly fair.

"What's that, Miss?" I pointed at a sphere, with a circular gear around it.

"A giant ancient core, the only reason the glowing is gone is because the dang thing's broken." During her explanation, I picked up a few tools she had around and before I knew it, the core was glowing once more. She was shocked, to say the least. But that paled in comparison to her excitement. "You! You tinkered with it, didn't you?" I nodded. Intrigued, she tasked me with another job. "Here, take a look at this tablet, of sorts. It's almost the same as the one the princess has, except it's purple and orange." It kept me busy for hours, while she did her work. At first it wouldn't come on, so I took a peek at her notes on Zelda's tablet. The stone charges it! I rushed to the stone and compared the engravings in the tablet to the stone. I could alter this. After a few hours, I flipped the switch. The tablet read 'Slate power low' still, so I placed it in the grooves I made for this tablet, or slate, in the stone. The slate began charging. "What did you do, little one!?!" Purah was beside herself with worry that I had messed up the stone.

"I tinkered with the little tinky thing on the stone so the slate would charge through the grooves..." She nodded in approval, before smiling.

"Way to go, Tinky!" I grimaced. She started to measure observations of my work...
