It all started long ago. Gaia earth mother gave birth to Uranus the heavens. He then became her mate, wrapping himself around her. Their first set of children were three Cyclopes, three Hecatoncheires, and twelve Titans. Uranus was a bad father and a bad husband. He did not like the Cyclopes, and Hecatoncheires, so he threw them into the depths of the earth, Gaia's womb. Gaia was furious so she called the youngest Titan Cronus. She and Cronus plotted against Uranus. One day while Uranus was laying with Gaia, Cronus grabbed his father and castrated him with a stone sickle. Uranus either died, with drew to Italy, or was cast away from earth. Uranus promised the Titans they would get punished. Cronus was the new ruler. He imprisoned his brothers the Cyclopes, and Hecatoncheires in Tartarus a prison in the underworld. Cronus married his sister Rhea.
