Y/n
everytime i look at those humans,
happily enjoying their lives,
i tend to wonder,
how does that feel like?

The grass on your soles is soft on soft, warm on warm, a gentle tickle as each giving wand forms a cushion of green. Each strand moves in the summer breeze like soft hair, the waves and rustling, more alive than your steady breaths.

You leaned against a tree, close to the shrine you were currently residing at. The quiet and peaceful atmosphere, could rival the afterlife, if you knew how it felt like that is.

But unfortunately, you weren't granted the luxury of moving on to the afterlife. A curse, to be simple.

Many would think, living an eternal life was a blessing, for you would never have to worry about death, and never have to worry about aging. However, just as that was an advantage, it was still a curse.

How, you may ask? Centuries ago, you sat there by their side as their life was slowly coming to an end. The eyes that held light, slowly faded away, like a melting candle. You watched in tears, as they left you for the afterlife.

They abandoned you. You were alone now. What was the point of living? It was a curse to be living an eternal life.

Each timeline you took a different name, a different identity, sealing your real identification far far away never to be seen or heard of again.

How long has it been? You didn't know. How old were you now? You lost count. Were you going to explore the world? No, you weren't interested. Powers? You didn't want to use them.

It was dreadful. You moved from place to place regularly, to avoid suspicion. Faces you recognised yourself with, gone. People that stuck by your side? They passed on. Everyone does, except you apparently.

But enough about all this depressing stuff, that would be a story for another time.

You now reside in a shrine, as a magestic white cat. Only when alone, you would turn back to your true form. But sometimes you were careless.

One particular incident, however would turn your life upside down.

After receiving your daily food left by visitors or tourists at the shrine, you ensured no one was there in the area before shifting back to your so-called "human" form, only to hear a surprised gasp behind you.

'sh!t' you cursed mentally. You were sure no one was there? Turning around, your eyes met with another. Just where did this blue haired child come from? And what in the world was he doing here alone...? In the middle of the night?
