Don't go alone

Let me tell you why you shouldn't ever go out alone in wooded or field areas ....

There goes Isabella, off to play in the flower fields but before she leaves she has to say her goodbyes.
¨adiós mamá, adiós abuelita, más luego vuelvo, voy a recoger unas flores .¨
"Adiós hija, recuerda de volver a casa antes que se oscurezca.̈
"Si ya se bye."
She hopped all the way to the flower fields with her little basket and with a little song that she had made up.
¨vamos a recoger flores si a eso vamos a eso vamossss.¨
Isabela was a little curious 7 year old girl with tan skin, big brown eyes, long black hair, and she was from a place called Tijuana mexico. She didn't have any siblings yet or friends or at least any close ones. She was pretty much on her own when it came down to having friends but there she was always with a bright smile. Once she had got to the fields she started picking up all the pretty flowers she had come across. She had picked up some daisies, sunflowers, dahlias, and so much more.
After a good hour of picking flowers she made her way to a tree where she sat down in the shade to make some flower crowns. The sun was shining that day, birds flying around, little animals playing in the field, the perfect amount of wind. Everything felt just right, as if it was the perfect day or at least that's what it seemed like.

Some time went on and she had made over 10 different flower crowns. As she was packing them into her little basket someone decided to join her, someone who was wearing a little red hat, a green shirt, brown pants, brown little point shoes, pointy little ears and nose, orange brown hair, cheerful smile, rosey cheeks, and was carrying a little ball with stars all over it.  She hid quickly behind the tree so they wouldn't see her but she was pretty sure he saw her.  She was curious about him and wanted to know more but also wanted to play with the little ball he had.
She got the courage to say something "hola." The little person stopped, turned around and said hello back.
They introduced themselves to each other, "yo soy isabella."  "Yo me llamo sol¨ he replied.  They went on and on. Soon they started to play games; tag, hide and seek, i spy, they even played with the ball. She was having so much fun, that soon the two of them became friends, after a while of playing and talking he asked her if she wanted to go play in his play house he had built with his "parents" in the woods. Isabella was smart. She knew that she couldn't just go anywhere without telling her mom and asking for permission.
" le tengo que preguntar a mi mama." she said
"Esta bien a que te espero." he replied
She smiled and ran all the way back home.
"Mamá! Mamá! ¿Puedo jugar en la casa de mi nuevo amigo? No vive lejos está por las flores."
"Si está bien, no más recuerda de volver a casa antes que se oscurezca okay?
"Si ya se, no te preocupes."
She ran to her room to take a couple toys with her and ran back to the fields where he was waiting for her.  She showed him her toys and then walked off in the woods. Since it was still sunny outside everything looked pretty, the trees and plants shining under the sun, animals running around in the trees, and the birds chirping.  They eventually reached his playhouse. He climbed down the steps and Isabela followed.  She thought it was a bit weird since it was underground but also thought it was cool because it was something she hadn't seen before.

When entering you can see fairy lights and stars hanging from the walls, so many toys everywhere, and it smelt like sweet candy. She couldn't believe her eyes. Everything looked so cool and magical. He introduced her to everything his playhouse offered. Her two favorite things were his bird watcher and his snacks. Isabella was so caught up in the fantasies that she didn't notice that she had actually gone missing for a year and a half! What felt like minutes were actually months.  She didn't know that her mom, grandma, and people from the village were looking for her. Even though they were looking for her unfortunately since so many kids go missing where she lives it wasn't surprising that they had stopped looking for her after 3 months  but her mom believed and refused to believe that her Isabella was dead somewhere and that she would come back somehow.

Soon Isabela started to feel like she had stayed too long but everytime she would mention about it feeling it was getting late he would reassure her it wasn't. After a while she got annoyed and wanted to go home. Sol wasn't happy at all that Isabella wanted to leave. He tried to persuade her into staying but she refused and ran outside trying to find her way back home but she kept going in circles. She always ended up right back at the front door of sol's playhouse. Sol began to scream and laugh at her saying she can never go back home because she already accepted his invite.
Isabella started to cry her eyes out wanting to go back home. After crying for a really long time and begging for him to let her go home she finally asked what he wanted so she could go home and be free.
After she asked what he wanted he went to go sit on a little tree stump, he started to think soon you could see that cheerful smile turn into evil. He turned around to her saying he wanted her thumbs and her big toes plus all the toys she brought. She refused to getting her thumbs, toes, and toys getting taken away from her. He soon explained that if she didn't he would never let her go and how he only wanted her thumbs was because of the fact that he didn't have any. She was scared but finally agreed because she really wanted to go home.
They got everything  ready and with no time to waste boom he chopped off her first thumb without a warning. She screamed at the top of her lungs and passed out due to the pain. When she woke up she was laying there, in front of her door steps. She quickly got up but saw how she was all bandaged up. She was so excited to be finally back home. She busted through the door calling for mom. They were all shocked that  she was alive after it being almost 2 years when she went missing. Her mom started to cry her heart out as she was hugging isabella. I think its pretty funny how me and isabella have missing thumbs and toes but anyways she told her mom everything that happened in detail. Soon after that they took her to get some prayers and they moved away from that area. She never looked back but it always felt like someone was always watching her step. She became very cautious of her surroundings and tried protecting other children.

Now if you don't want to be missing/ have missing fingers you better stay away from lonely places especially if your going to be there alone. As you can tell i learned it the hard way. Stay safe.
