~*~Third Person POV~*~

"Where are we going Peter?" Wendy asked.
"We're getting you what you always wanted!" Exclaimed Peter.
"A child?" Wendy asked.
"Only for you, my darling." Peter answered sweetly.
A little too sweetly.
~*~ Flashback- to twenty years ago~*~
"Oh just come to the mainland with me!" Wendy exclaimed.
"No, Wendy. You know what happens when I'm there for too long!" Peter had refused.
So that night, Wendy and the Lost Boys had captured Peter Pan in his sleep, and taken him to the mainland.
There, he was destined to stay for twenty years.
There, he would, in fact, grow up.
And so, would Wendy Darling.
~*~End Of Flashback~*~
"Peter? Where are we going?" Wendy asked again, this time asking for more than she had gotten before.
""To the Downtown Orphanage." Peter said, in his mild British accent.
"To get my child?" Asked Wendy.
"To get our child." Corrected Peter., That was more like Peter. To correct people about misdoings.
As they entered to orphanage, Wendy saw almost twenty children.
"Hello! I'm Delilah." Said a girl who was about 19. "How can I help you?" She asked, while she was tying a shoelace on a little boys shoe.
"We're looking for a child. Preferably a newborn girl." Replied Peter.
"Alright, I believe we have just the child you're looking for." Replied Delilah.
she led the couple to a small crib in the corner of the main room.
"This, is Kamilla." Said Delilah.
"She's beautiful." Said Wendy.
"Would you like her?" Asked Delilah.
"Yes!" Exclaimed Wendy.
"Are you sure?" Asked Peter.

He had a small feeling of... What was it?... Remorse?... Maybe a tinge of fear, or possibly even worry?... No one can know quite for sure.

"Yes. I am absolutely sure." Said Wendy.
"If that is what you want, my dear." Said Peter.
"Thank you Peter. Thank you!" Exclaimed Wendy.
"Anything for you, my darling." he responded, playing a fake smile on his face just for the fun of it.
Delilah walked them over to a small counter, and grabbed some papers. She handed the papers to Peter and said, "please fill these out. Then the child will be yours."
"Thank you." Replied Peter.
The young couple walked over to the kitchen table. Wendy sat her purse she had been carrying down on the floor, and began to fill out the papers.
~*~
About half an hour later, the couple finished the adoption papers, and took them to the lady.
"Thank you." Peter said.
"You're very welcome, Sir." Replied Delilah.
"No, truly. Thank you." Said Peter.

Thanking people so fondly was not in Peter's genes. Nor was it a simple mishap, or misunderstanding.
not in the slightest.

Though Wendy was too busy, fawning over the small babe she had just been handed, to realize what Peter had said.

"Are you ready, Wendy?" Asked Peter.
"Yes." Said Wendy, still in complete awe of the small babe.
"Come along, now. We should get going." Replied Peter.
As they were just about to head out the door, Delilah rushed up to them, carrying Wendy's purse.
"Ma'am! You forgot this!" Said Delilah in a rushed tone.
"Oh! Thank you!" Exclaimed Wendy.
"You're welcome." replied Delilah with a smirk.
Peter and Wendy left, closing the door behind them.
As the door closed, Delilah leaned against it, and whispered to herself, "but it is I, who should be thanking you."
