Hi everyone! Thank you so much for clicking on my story, it means so much to be able to share this world/fantasy that I've created in my head with other people. It's even better that I get to do it whilst remaining anonymous haha (my fellow introverts will understand lmao). Anyway, I won't keep you for long, I'd much rather you guys get on with reading the next few chapters of lore.
The next few chapters are very important as they, more or less, set the scene for the entire story. Please read them carefully and feel free to circle back to them during the story to refresh your memory in case it gets a little confusing.

LORE (Vampires)

The Vampire race are split up into two different sub-species, pure blooded & bitten.
Pure blooded: Pure blooded Vampires have been born, not bitten. All pure blooded vampires have the blood of the ancients flowing through their veins. They come from an ancient blood line that extends for thousands of years. Pure blooded vampires have access to blood magic, a type of dark magic that is heavily looked down upon by witches and considered demonic. A few examples of blood magic are: mind control, and curses. Pure blooded Vampires are also fertile, however, as they surpass the age of 300 their fertility levels begin to drop. They mostly become infertile by the age of 500, even though they stop ageing once they reach maturity.

The Bitten: People who have become vampires through being bitten are the same as pure blooded vampires except they don't have access to blood magic and they aren't fertile. Although, since Bitten vampires can't have kids they often consider those that they turn as children seeing as their blood now runs through the veins of their sire. A majority of bitten vampires happily serve the pure blooded as they're seen as royalty and protectors of the species.

Vampire Culture/Society: Vampires overall are very civilised people, however, there is small covens who prefer to stray away from the laws created by the royal families. These social defects can give vampires a bad reputation as they often kill mercilessly and start wars with different species, mainly werewolves, which cause diplomatic issues for the royals. No one in the supernatural world knows entirely how the pure bloods came into existence, however many rumours have ignited conspiracies such as Lucifer creating them to spite God for sending him to Hell.

Vampires worship the Greek Goddess Nyx and believe that Pure Blooded Vampires are the product of her wrath. In their ancient religious laws it states that pure blooded vampires are forbidden from using their blood magic against their own species, especially the bitten. This is because they believe Nyx granted the pure blooded these abilities for the soul purpose of protecting the species, nothing else.

LORE (Werewolves)

The werewolf species is split up into two different sub-species, pure blooded and Bitten.
Pure blooded: Pure blooded werewolves are those with the ability to shift into a wolf whenever they want and can sire bitten werewolves. They have a lifespan of around 500 years and stop ageing once they reach maturity. Although they have a long lifespan they tend to become infertile at around 250-300 years of age. Werewolves who make it to 400 years of age are considered diplomats and great oracles/advisors within their packs. They have full control over their wolf forms and share their mind with their wolf who is a part of them.

Bitten Werewolves: People who have become werewolves through being bitten can only turn into a wolf on a full moon. Unlike pure blooded werewolves, they don't have control over their wolf form and some will often chain themselves up on the night of a full moon to avoid hurting humans or even other werewolves. Bitten werewolves cannot sire other werewolves.

Werewolf Culture/Society: Werewolves live in packs, mainly across their homeland the North American Domain. At the head of the packs in an Alpha who is always a pure blooded werewolf. Reigning over these packs is the Alpha Supreme who is practically King of all Werewolves, although don't mention the word King as they hate royal terms as it makes them seem like Vampires. The Alpha Supreme has final say over any major decisions made within each pack and is the forefront of all diplomatic relations between the species.

Witches: Witches are simple people and tend to stay out of all politics between the species. Their main purpose in life is to serve Mother Nature and most do exactly that. Spending their days rescuing endangered species and sabotaging the humans as they try to further ruin the planet. Witches have the same lifespan as humans however they can talk to their ancestors as they live on through their connection to magic. Witches only have one major life tradition and that is a pilgrimage once they reach maturity. They must go off, travelling the world searching for ways to help people, once they have saved someone's life and helped them achieve true happiness they may return to their family and continue with their duties to the earth.
