Camping

Mori's POV:

During summer break, me, and my friends we're planning on going camping somewhere far away and a little scary. A bunch of us we're looking into secluded camp sites with horror articles and news about them.

"Do you think we'd get to see some hot chicks there?" Said one of my friends as we all laughed at his stupid remarks.

"Yea but she'll be dead if that's what you're into." I said as everyone burster out laughing and ew'd with disgust.

"Anyways let's get serious, I was thinking of... maybe the Dering Forest?" Said dox.

"I don't think I've heard of it before."

"Well, when y'all go home you can look it up. They're all true stories~"

"Key word: stories" Said one of the guys.

"ARE YOU DUMB? HHAHAAH JUST BECAUSE IT'S CALLED A STORY DOESN'T MEAN IT'S FAKE!!" Dox said.

"THE FUCK?? AND?"

After bickering and fighting back and forwards everyone agreed, and we decided to play some games before I got tired and left first. I was so excited cause I've never been camping; I was so inpatient thinking about all the fun we we're going to have that I couldn't sleep. I wonder if it's going to be a new experience. I almost forgot to look up news about the forest, it was late at night and I was too tired to open up my laptop so I used my phone instead.

"Multiple mutated bodies have been found with their eyes plucked out and their face melted off down to the bone by some sort of acid."

"3 missing kids were found dead in dering forest after getting lost for 2 and a half weeks without a trace. 2 investigators searched for the kids until some campers reported found bodies in dering forest. The bodies we're tested, and they turned out to be the 3 missing kids. The finders of the 3 kids said it was utterly inhuman how the kid's bodies were all beaten up to the point of no identifying. Limbs and parts we're missing, patches of no skin, and holes in their bodies."

"A mysterious creature was spotted on camera as 2 brave campers chased after it with a camera attached to one of them. They we're sure they lost the 'beast' after a while of searching only to have their lives taken away minutes later. The camera was bashed, and the saved footage was unclear, we couldn't really make out what it was, but it didn't have the body of any human. It was tall with 2 separate tails, it-"

The list goes on and on, I quickly sent my friends pictures and links of the news about the forest and asked if they're still down. They agreed but.. when the day came, they all backed out last minute. Everyone had their own excuses thinking like "Oh I'm busy" or "Oh exams are coming up" LIKE YOU DON'T EVEN STUDY?!?!?! WHAT EXAMS!?!?

"I DON'T NEED THEM ANYWAYS!" I said as I angrily packed my stuff and threw it in my car. "I'll just go camping by myself since they wanna be pussies." I said hyping myself up. I was nervous, very nervous. I was alone, inexperienced, and all the stories I read and news I heard got me a little (very) anxious, but I brushed it off and played it cool. I drove out of town until the houses slowly faded off and I even made sure to get extra gas with me just in case of emergencies. I finally reached my destination and it looked like a normal forest. Nothing out of the ordinary so far so I looked around and found a rather nice and flat spot and set up my tent, but it took forever. It was a very big tent and I had to set it up all by myself, it just didn't hold, and it really pissed me off. I almost gave up and moved my stuff so I can find another flat area because the smell around here was odd and lingering around me. It made me mad cause it wasn't what I was used to, however, I got used to it and continued popping up the tent.

"Finally! I got it up... that was so much work." I sighed as I went inside the tent as I set up my pillows and blankets. It was already getting dark because it took me 3 hours to get here and forever to set up the tent, even if it wasn't getting dark I would of still went to sleep because all this moving took a lot of energy outta me. The second my head touched the pillow I was fast asleep.
