Just to be safe I'm giving a sensitive subject warning!
First ever story in my life that I did for enjoyment and isn't for school.

I walk down the crumbling sidewalk, the dying sun stretching my shadow. You could tell it rained a little bit today by the small puddles and delicate drops that seemed to lay atop of everything. I sighed. I was walking home from school. A place labeled as misery and pains of homework. For me, it was my safe haven from the harsh reality that came crashing down on me when I turned the metal knob of my front door. Usually it was the smell of alcohol that came first then some fighting between my "parents". They felt unreal, false. Completely contrast to what you see in most families. I usually lock myself in my room and only speak when spoken to. My life felt mechanized though. Go to school and go home in an endless chain. I let my mind wander on, and I let myself slowly slip away all while following the memorized route home. I guess I hadn't noticed that I closed my eyes, I was too far gone. It was only when my wrists were bound together with a man's rough hand and I lost my way back to reality.

I opened my eyes to be met with darkness. I blink to make sure my eyes aren't closed. I move to rub them only to feel cold metal constrict my skin. I feel the coolness of a floor with only a little heat which had come from my body. I was cold and hungry which were among my least favorite problems. I wondered if anyone was here or I was only with myself in this room. I tested out my voice.
"Hello?" I heard my dry voice say.
I waited a couple seconds. Only the sounds of emptiness returned to me. I move my arms to hear my chains chatter. I was pretty angry that I got kidnapped and no one was here. I wish I could see but there was nothing to illuminate the darkness. I waited to see if anything would happen. I grew colder and colder until my body felt numb. I tried to focus on staying awake but I could only drift away into the darkness and unknown...
