Chapter 6 - The Rose

SKYLAR'S P.O.V.

I repeated the morning the same as I did yesterday but Cole was giving Jess a ride to school so I offered to walk to school. I was walking to school listening to Troublemaker - Olly Murs when I noticed a figure next to me. I turned my head to notice Nath was walking next to me.

"Nath?" I questioned. He looked at me like he was always there.

"Where did you come from?" I asked.

"My moth-"

"I meant I left the house by myself this morning," I explained laughing.

"I saw you walking past my house and I left and caught up to you," he explained.

I rolled my eyes as we were walking up to the school and I opened the double doors and started walking to my locker. Nathan and I split our separate ways as we went to our lockers. I put my lunch bag on the shelf while I hung up my bag and coat. I grabbed my binder and closed my locked which then revealed Louis which made me jump.

"Did I scare you?" He laughed and I nodded.

"I'll walk you to Maths?" He offered and I nodded.

"Sure," I replied smiling as we walked to the Maths room where I sat in an empty seat next to Louis and pulled out my iPhone where I had a new text from my cousin.

"Hey! Found any hot guys for Valentines yet? :) x"

- "Nah, haven't really been shopping. :/ x" I sent, being sarcastic. I honestly didn't need a guy.

"Well Grant is coming over tonight with a friend and I was wondering if you would come too? x"

- "I guess...what time?" I really didn't want to go.

"I'll pick you up at 4! See you then! x"

I sighed and threw my phone down in the table.

"Hey, that phone never did anything to you," Louis joked, I laughed.

"Sorry, my cousin is being a pain in the-" I was cut off by the teacher walking in.

"Last call to make a candy/flower-gram for someone!" She interrupted. That's when Louis got up and left immediately, well okay then.

It was now the last hour of the day and I was in History. I started packing up my materials as we were done with the lesson and the teacher was passing out the candy-grams and flower-grams. I didn't really expect to get one since I was knew and no one really knew me unless it was like a welcome gift?

"Ms Clark?" The teacher called and I stood up and walked over to him as he handed me a perfect thornless red rose. Who sent this? I took a look at the note that read "HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! <3" on the front like the rest while the message inside read:

"I know it's only your second day here, but I think I like you already. A lot. :)"

I took the note a shoved it into my pocket and carried the rose home, thinking of who sent the rose.
