"Joon! Kim Namjoon! Where are you? I need help with dinner father will be home soon!" Namjoon's elder brother's voice echoed in the empty shed. Namjoon scrambled of from the floor papers and worn book scattering everywhere. He ran across the yard to the small cabin slamming the door open and instantly doubling over out of breath.
"Hoseok why must you wake me for things like this you know I'm no help in the kitchen". His older brother snickered while handing him a bowl of potatoes. Namjoon's hair was standing up and a complete mess. "I know Joon, but did you forget the boys are coming to dinner tonight? and you Know that Taehyung can put down enough food for three men." Namjoon could help but laugh as he washed and peeled said potatoes. after a bit of Hoseok cooking and Namjoon attempting to also do so, a knock on the door froze them in place.
" Seok, Joon! Your handsomest friend is here to help you!!!" The door busted open, and Taehyung rushed into the small kitchen. His boxy grin shined through on his soot covered face. "Ah Tae where have you been, I mean look at the state of you." Hoseok would have seemed angry if it weren't for the growing smile on his face. "Hoseok remember Tae wanted to earn pocket money so he's been chimney sweeping this summer." Tae's eyes lit up as he ran over and gave Namjoon a huge hug, only stopping when the boy resembled a cherry. "Jimin might be a bit late you know how that city girl is to him." Oh boy was Jimin in trouble, once Rose kept talking and flirting with him for four hours. The boys had too practically rip Jimin from her iron grip. "Well, if Jimin comes to late I'll make sure to save him a plate."
The boys had finished making the spicy potato stew and had set the table by the time a soft knock hit the door. No matter how many times he's been told he can just come in he never does. Namjoon walked over to the door smiling brightly, he opened the door and quickly hugged Jimin. "Uhm excuse me, is this normal amongst the lower class?" Namjoon felt his face grow red and he backed up. There stood a muscular boy about an inch shorter than himself. "Oh My god, I thought you were my friend I'm so sorry." he continued to ramble apologies when the mystery boy let out a hearty chuckle. " No need to apologize so much i enjoyed the hug, let me introduce myself I am Jeon Jungkook, my carriage got separate from my brother and his friends, I was wondering if you knew were the park residence is?" Namjoon motioned the boy in the others taken notice of the new person. "Ah, which park residence? The butchers or the noble house? Also my name is Kim Namjoon" Namjoon smiled brightly as Jungkook.
"Clearly he means the Noble house I mean look at his clothes there expensive and clean, and those shoes are real leather I can tell." Namjoon gave Taehyung a playful glare before turning back to the nobleman. "Well if your hungry would you like to join us for dinner then i can show you there myself? if your in know hurry of course?" Jungkook's stare was burning a hole into Namjoon's face. " Ah that would be amazing I haven't eaten since we left this morning, how old are you." The abrupt question through Namjoon off, the other boys gave Jungkook a strange look. Namjoon took a seat beside Taehyung leaving one seat beside him and one next to Hoseok.
"I'm actually turning 22 next month, Taehyung is 21 and Hoseok is 24." Jungkook took the seat next to Namjoon and even scooted his chair a bit closer to the still disheveled boy. "That's good to know, and the food looks amazing by the way. Can you cook well then?". Taehyung slid the nosy intruder a glare. "Actually, Namjoon can't cook well. He almost burnt my father's kitchen down last April." Taehyung slightly pulled Namjoon's chair the other way, locking eye's with Jungkook they shared the same cold look.
Hoseok let out an awkward laugh that Namjoon joined in on. "Well, he's a good help in the kitchen besides his clumsiness. Anyways how about we eat before it get's cold? I'm sure everyone hungry." Thank god Hoseok was here to save the day, Namjoon always looked up to Hoseok in a way, Hoseok always knew what to say and he helped anyone that needed it. Growing up he always wanted to be like his older brother. " Your right, Hoseok was it? No matter who cooked it smells amazing." Namjoon smiled at the nobleman and Taehyung let out a huff.
