One morning, I was eating my breakfast and preparing for my final day in my apartment. The apartment became more and more expensive as I had stayed there, until one day the cost was just too much to pay for. My mother had offered for me to stay over until I found a place, but some of my old friends had allowed me to live with them. I quickly finished my meal, and stood up to look around for my bags. As I searched around the room, I manage to spot it out of the corner of my eye. Jogging over to it, I pick up my bags and sigh heavily.

"So this is the last day, huh.." I think to myself. I take a final look around the apartment and sigh. There was no furniture that I had bought and little appliances, so there wasn't much to move. I grabbed the last of my items and made a double check around the apartment to make sure there wasn't anything being forgotten. After the last room, I walked back to the front door and paused. Taking another short glance at the home of 2 years, I reminded myself that I was expected somewhere. Opening the door, I walk out and down the hall. Once I had arrived at the bottom, I left the keys in an envelope and placed them into the mailbox where they were meant to be picked up. Then, Just as I left the building, I had received a phone call. Looking at the number it was my friends, whom I was staying with. quickly, I put the phone to my ear as I had heard talking. As I listened, I slowly realized it was an accidental call, and that I most likely wasn't supposed to be hearing the conversation.

"Why would you let that weirdo stay here!? It's a horrible idea!" I heard one of them say.

"Think about it, we can play pranks on her all the time! And since we're her 'friends' she'll never expect it to be us." hanging up, my heart dropped. It was all a joke. And on top of that,
I had nowhere to go now. Mother had left the house for a long trip, and I didn't have the keys. Plus, the house was in another city. If I had realized that my friends were lying sooner, I would have been able to plan with mom on how to get to her house. The only two options I had was to desperately search for a place to stay, or go to the house of those so called 'friends'. I searched frantically for a hotel to stay in for the meantime, but every time I had called a new hotel, they were fully booked. I decided to sit down for a bit to calm myself down. I rubbed my eyes again, and when I looked up,  there appeared to be a new building. It was a full black building made of bricks. Above it read the words 'GOTH GRAND HOTEL'. I sat up almost as quickly as I had sat down, and snatched all my bags. I walked over to the edge of the road and waited for a right time to cross. When the light finally turned red, and all the cars had stopped, it was the perfect time. And so I ran across the street, with no idea of what would happen next, and with all my bags, I opened the door to the building. The front desk had a fancily dressed young lady and one of those bells that I had always used as a kid to annoy my  mother. The entire main lobby was much larger than the building had seemed from the outside, and very clean as well.

"Welcome to the Goth Grand Hotel!" Said the desk attendant.
