Zayn:

It's been a week since me and Mindy broke up. It was a mutual break-up, though I loved her with all my heart. I knew she didn't want to, but the hate was eating her alive. I've called her at least 3 times everyday. She doesn't pick up. I guess she moved on. I just want her to be happy and I hope she knows that.

I woke up in the same plain white room. Alone this time. My heart ached for Mindy. She was my whole life and I knew that I was hers. I dragged myself to the bathroom mirror. Blood shot eyes, dark bags, pale face, hair all messed up. I did my regular morning routine. My phone began to rang, but I didn't want to answer it. Soon, the ringing stopped. I traveled back to my king sized bed. The white duvet was pushed at the edge of the bed. I picked up my phone to see who had called. I couldn't believe it. 'Missed call from 'Baby Doll ♥'' I haven't changed her name back, because she will always be mine. For some reason, I didn't have the courage to call her back this time. 'What if she picks up?' 'What am I going to say?' 'Did she move on?' These questions stormed my mind. Suddenly there was a knock coming from the front door.

"Go away!" I didn't feel like confronting people yet.

"Zayn! Open the door! Please." It couldn't be.

I quickly made my way to the door. Though I just realized that I was shirtless and only had sweats on. It didn't matter. Mindy was at my door. I wanted to hold her tight and make everything okay again. I was wrong.

"Hey, Zayn!"

"Oh. Hello, Stacy." Stacy is my best friend other than the lads.

"You don't seem happy to see me." She pouted.

"I-I'm just missing Mindy so much." She knew about Mindy and I was guessing that she was here to comfort me.

"I know, Zayn. I know." She brought me into a hug.

"Oh, come inside." I stepped to the side, letting her in.

"I haven't been here in a while. It's nice being her again." She turned around and smiled me.

"Yeah. Mindy helped me settle in." I looked around the flat. From the unique small statues that caught your eye to the couch, lighting, tables, everything.

"Sounds like she was amazing."

"She was more than amazing. She was my everything. My whole life was centered around her." Things got quiet.

"Well, I came here to ask you if you wanted to come to lunch with me." She insisted.

"I-I don't really want to go out."

"C'mon! It's not like you can stay inside forever." She had a point.

I know that this was something stupid to think about, but was I really ready to go outside and face new things? Yes.

We arrived at a small downtown restaurant. It was just me and Stacy. I felt weird being out with her, though she was a really close friend. That's all.

"So have you been here before?" I asked to break the silence.

"I don't think so." She looked over her menu. "Have you?"

"Actually, this was Mindy's favorite place to eat out." I couldn't stop thinking about her. Everything I saw, touched, smelled, heard.

"Do you wanna go somewhere else?" She seemed a bit eager.

"No."

"Are we ready to order?" The waitress came over.

She took our order and we both sat there quietly admiring the scenery.

**{flashback}***

Mindy stared out onto the road looking at the passing cars and pedestrians. I looked at her beauty. The softness in her eyes. Her skin was fair. The milk chocolate colored hair flowed over down her shoulders.

"Zayn." She laughed.

"Yes, love?"

"Are you enjoying the view?"

"Very much so." We both laughed.

She thought her laugh was 'retarded', though I thought it was funny and adorable.

***{End of flashback}***

"Zayn." Stacy shocked me back.

"Ye-yeah?"

"Our food is here." I looked down, where my plate had appeared.

"Well, let's eat." I smiled.

We both sat there quietly eating, though I went back to my sweet memories.
