Chapter 54. Interview

Since that mall incident, news about who that kid was started spreading around the Internet. Netizens were so puzzled about the kid and would be disappointed if they knew that he was someone in EXO's kid.

"What are we gonna do?" Suho asked.

"Well, there's one thing to do to stop all this commotion." The manager replied.

"What is it?" Suho asked again.

"Tell the truth." Kris coldly replied, who was staring at the tall window.

"He's right. On your next show, tomorrow, Chanyeol have to admit about this stuff. He must tell the truth. Of course the interviewer will totally ask about this thing, so it's the perfect opportunity." The manager stated.

"But what about the fans?" Chen asked.

"Yeah, what about them? They might get brokenhearted." Lay worried.

"They would really be brokenhearted. But they have to accept it. After all, Chanyeol's an idol." The manager replied.

Everybody sighed.

"I'm sorry everybody. If it wasn't me asking out, then things like this wouldn't have surfaced the net." Kai apologized.

"Don't worry Kai, they're meant to know about this. After all, they're our fans. They're one of the most important things to us." Baekhyun cheered Kai up.

"Yeah, Baekhyun's right. It's the fans' right to know about this." Luhan agreed.

"But, is Chanyeol ready for making his family public?" Chen asked.

"Of course, I am. It might be hard, but.. We can get used to it, someday." Chanyeol smiled.

"Very well. I am so happy that you are taking this thing positively, Chanyeol. Good luck for tomorrow." The manager smiled.

THE NEXT DAY, EXO Interview //

"We have a lot of fans in our audience tonight, I think all of them are fans too~ HAHAHAHHAHA!" MC Kyuhyun stated. "And we're gonna pick lucky fans from the audience tonight to ask what they're dying to ask EXO tonight."

The audience clapped and so is EXO, too. But Chanyeol was really nervous that time, Baekhyun and Sehun who are beside him are cheering him up.

"Shall we start?" Kyuhyun asked. "Well then, the first to ask is......... the girl wearing the black and blue shirt right there!!! Please hand her a mic!"

When Kyuhyun picked the audience asker, Chanyeol's heart kept beating fast. The fan then held the mic. She looked at EXO and asked,

"Hi EXO~" The girl squealed.

"Hello!~" EXO greeted back happily.

"This is my question..." The girl stated. "A lot of photos surfaced the internet last night, up to this very moment, about Kai and D.O. in the mall and Kai oppa was carrying a child. Who is the child and what is his relation to you, EXO? Thank you~" The fan asked.

EXO went silent for a few seconds, when suddenly, Chanyeol opened his mouth about the issue.

"The kid's name is Alec Mason Kwon. He is my son." Chanyeol stated.

The fans were in shock. It can be clearly heard in the place that some audience were saying, Omo!, Really!?, He's a dad?!, and things like that.

"Yes, he's my son. He is already 3 years old. I had my fiancee pregnant back when we were still in Senior Year. I didn't tell it to all of you guys because I was scared that you would all be telling me that I'm a bad guy for getting a girl pregnant during Senior High. I was so scared that EXO's image will change because of me and lose fans because of that incident. So I kept it. But like what they say, no secrets remain as a secret forever. That's why I had to admit it right now." Chanyeol stated sincerely. "I am sorry EXO-L, I really am. If your sight for me changes, I won't blame you for it. Thank you for supporting me. Because of you, I got this far. We, got this far."

Some fans were teary-eyed when Chanyeol stated these things. Suddenly, after a moment of silence, the fans applaused.

"Don't worry oppa! We still love you! We will love your son and your future wife too!" An audience shouted.

Chanyeol smiled in tears. The other EXO members were teary-eyed, too.

"Wow, I didn't realized that a question could be that moving." MC Kyuhyun reacted.

"Good luck in being a dad oppa!" A girl shouted.

"I'm sure that you'd be a great father! She's so lucky!" A fan added.

"Your fans really love you, huh?" MC Kyuhyun smiled. "Let's have another asker. The one in the black shirt!"

The fan handed the remote and asked,

"Don't worry oppa, we are still EXO-L no matter what. Right guys?" She asked the audience.

The audience responded with applause and 'woohs!'. EXO were so touched that they all cried silently.

"Here's my question: Even though you'll be having your individual families, will you still be EXO?" The fan asked.

"Yes, we will still be EXO. We are one, right? Even though we end up in wheelchairs and canes like the old people, we'll still be EXO. Even though there will be only one fan to watch us during our performance, we would still go up the stage happily and continue to keep EXO one." Suho replied as he wiped his tears.

Kyuhyun looked at EXO.

"This is the most emotional interview I have ever had." He stated.

EXO all stood up and went into a group hug. Expressing their love for the fans and for each other. It was real. Pure love and brotherhood.
