Chapter 1:

It was 1999 on a cold, snowy night. Two 19 year old boys were running down the Snow covered road. Footsteps not far behind. The pace is getting quicker and quicker and quicker. They felt their body losing strength, their arms getting weaker and more fatigue, Axel the skeleton of the duo felt his bones getting colder, his eye sockets drooping from the exhaustion, Connor, the human of the duo, looked at his best friend “we need to hide”

As if his cries were heard Axel turned and saw an alley in the distance. It had two trash cans and looked incredibly dismal and melancholy, “in there!” Axel cried, grabbing his best friend’s wrist with a cry. They both quickly hid behind the bins as the officers that were chasing them, scuttled past as if they were rats.

Connor peeked out the bins and looked at Axel, he felt a small rage in his chest, he glared at his best friend- daggers nipping at his bones, “This had been the 3rd time this week!” he cried, Waving his arms around as if he lost his mind, “We can't keep doing this!” he continued, he closed his mouth.

Axel didn't look much but he could be quite strong for his height, he looked as the smaller stood up, his pupils bluer than the quills of sonic the hedgehog but looked as if they were two glowing balls floating on an abyss, a small crack shaped like a bolt of lightning neatly set in the right corner of his eye socket running down to the centre of his cheek bone, his golden tooth shiny brightly, as if it were proud to be there. Connor perceived down his body, Axel looked quite femine yet was very much a male, his choice of clothing was quite odd but yet looked adequate on him, he wore a blue and green diagonal striped shirt, a dark grey hoodie with a lighter shading of grey on his hood, brown jeans and silver trainers, he had a dog tag necklace placed firmly around his neck.

Connor was snapped out of his thoughts as he looked back at the shorter skeleton, Axel violently poked Connor on the chest with his boney finger, “I know that” Axel looked up at the taller man, he admired Connor as a brother, and very much envied how he looked, his blonde hair messily yet perfectly set on his head, his tanned skin, blue eyes and blue cheeks that you'd only see on dolls, he wondered if it were real or face paint but thought of it as impundant to ask such a question, connor presented blonde lines neatly set on the end of his chin though to others may look sloppy and untidy, the blonde taller pulled it off well, his body was quite flawless as well; the guy looked good, he had to admit, he does work out. His arms looked as if a boulder was placed inside of each arm and his six pack was showing against his t-shirt underneath his white hoodie, he wore white basketball shorts and pink trainers.

Axel continued to glare though, He roared, “i know this all already but we must keep trying! We need money and the bank is a good pla-” The pair heard a crack from behind a bin. They stood in shock, “what was that? '' he murmured, his tone completely different, Connor looked at him “i don't know boss”  Yes, that's right. Boss, Connor did indeed work for Axel, they were in a large group who named themselves the villains league, it was ran by a tall skeleton with dark dark grey bones called Hades, he always wore silk like, blood red, long sleeved shirts with the top two buttons always buttoned down,he always rolled up his sleeves though with a golden clip either sleeve, black trousers and socks and to finish it off polished black shoes, he had a crack on the top of his skull which he covered with a crown. blue flames gracefully emerged from the crack. He did live up to his name; Hades is the Greek god of death. And that's who he was.

Slowly but carefully Axel pulled down his hood, he reached into his right pocket and pulled out a small double-action revolver, he pulled himself to the bins and aimed at a small basket. Connor stood behind him holding a 10ft tall mallet in his hands, gripping so tight his blue veins were seen on his knuckles, wrapped around like vines. A sudden gasp left Axles mouth as he dropped the pistol and grabbed the basket; Connor- filled with muddle- looked at Axel, “what? What is it?” Axel turned and showed him the basket, a small, cracked heart in the basket, “a baby's soul..” Axel whispered.

Connor and Axel stood, looking at each other for what felt like hours, “what do we do?” Connor finally spouts “should we take it to an orphanage?!” Axel stood looking at the baby’s soul, He thought about his life, how his dad Jack reaper mistreated him and abused him, he thought about his mother Toxic and how kind he was to him even though he was made in a lab. He felt his own soul ache with such pain from the memories. How his mother had to teach him things without Jack knowing; how toxic let him go to secondary where he met his friends and how his dad killed Axel’s big brother Scar- his full name was Scared Reaper but Scar shortened it to fit in- Axel took a breathe, it felt as if all his trauma and pain escaped his nosehole as he exhaled.

He deemed himself responsible for such a small child, He peered at his comrade; feeling his mind at ease knowing that what he was doing was ethical. He didn't want a child to feel as trapped as him, though thanks to his dad; death can't possibly affect him, it can affect such a child as this on the other hand. Connor could see the sheer thought in his companions eyes, “Axel?” he spoke, though his voice was quite empowering and baritone, it was taciturn and laced with such concern. He could see the skeleton and how deep in thought he was in. Placing a hand on the monster’s femine shoulder, he smiled lightly, “what would you like to do with such a child as this? Though it hasn't yet been called out as the category of living, it seems like such a child as this must not be left forsaken”

Axel examined the cracks on the young soul, he picked it up. It was pale pink, like his but his was a darker tone of pink. It felt glacial and quite like weak glass, However when the glass had melted. Glass can be melted, even if it doesn't boil, though it wont burn. The melting point is around 1400 degrees to 1600 degrees Celsius, or about 2,900 degrees fahrenheit. As a side note, if you subject glass to intense heat, it might crack. Anyway back to the story, The soul felt like melted glass, it was smooth and shiny but also felt quite squishy. Axel tightened his grip but soon paused as he spotted pink ooze escape, his pupils shrunk slightly out of shock. He put it slowly in the basket and conscientiously put it back on the black blanket in the basket. He briskly moved his hand under his shirt and  steadily brought his hand  between his ribcage and slowly brought his soul from where it hovered on the right side of his ribcage. He presented it next to the young  soul and watched them glow, he averted his blue pupils to Connor who was looking at him with a heartening expression, “so what are you gonna do?”

Axel slowly picked up the pale pink soul and placed it in his, watching as the small soul was getting healed by his own, “i shall raise this small monster as my own” he muttered, placing his soul -that now had a smaller soul inside- back in its place. Connor smiled and patted his back, “okay boss” he grinned wider, “you can raise her to be the best, i know you can” Axel returned his words with a deltighted smile, he truly was grateful to have a friend and a personnel such as Connor.
