FORBIDDEN AFFAIR (WINRINA ft. Choerry)

CHAPTER 16

One day before the concert, Minjeong came to the university's hall. They told her to come for the rehearsal. She came at the right time. she saw students leaving the stage as the staff prepared for the next stage.

"you'll go after the theatre club." Mrs. Ha approached Minjeong.

"oh. good evening, ma'am. Thank you for your help." Minjeong smiled at her.

"you're lucky I like you." Mrs. Ha looked up the stage. "since you're one of my favorites, you're gonna be the one that closed the concert."

"really?" Minjeong's eyes sparkles. This is her chance to enhance her skills even more. She's not working with strangers at the club but this time it's her friends. If her music can't amaze them, then she's not good enough.

"yes. I'm expecting a lot. Don't let me down." Mrs. Ha give her a pat on the back.

Minjeong watched the professor left. She too, walked around the hall, looking at bunch of arts and paintings.

"one of my students made this." Jimin approached her. "amazing isn't it?"

"indeed. I thought you only do dancing." Minjeong kindly responds.

"I'm a coach, yes. But I teach some other things too." They then walked around together. "Yerim is in the practice room with the others."

"is that so?" Minjeong looked at her watch. "after the soundcheck I'll go to her."

"you're staying tonight?" Jimin wondered.

"no. I'll see you guys here." Minjeong took a little space. Even though she felt safe around her now, she still need to take caution.

"ma'am!"

Both of them looked at the source of the voice. Ryujin ran a little to them.

"hey..." Jimin smiled at her. "looking for something?"

"I wanna have a talk with you. just for a moment." Ryujin looked at Jimin then to Minjeong.

"well, I guess I'll leave you here. Good luck on rehearsal, Jeong."

Minjeong noticed something weird from the two but she just shook it off.

"okay. You don't wanna play the full song?" one of the staff asked her.

"I think that's enough. Make the adjustments mid-song then let it stay like that."

Minjeong decided to let the team took care of her equipment, not all of it of course. Just the ones that needs to be prepared beforehand. She then arrived at the dance room. she saw Jimin, Yerim, and the rest of the dance team practicing. Being familiar with the place, Minjeong went in and sat on the floor beside Yerim's stuff.

Yerim noticed her entrance and smiled at her brightly.

"focus, Yerim." Jimin said sternly. Minjeong saw a different side from Jimin. She's totally another person when it comes to teaching.

After about 15 minutes, Minjeong lowered her phone and looked at the students. They prepared to go and end the practice.

"let's go." Yerim grabbed Minjeong's hand, helping her getting up.

"she's not coming too?" Minjeong looked at the late time. "I'll take you both home."

"she needs to prepare for tomorrow. She'll be late."

And so, Minjeong drove to Yerim's house. talking along the ride, they lose track of time, not realizing the they arrived.

"I'll see you tomorrow. I need to get there a little early to help set everything up." Minjeong helped Yerim unbuckled her seatbelt. "since you usually didn't eat before any stage, I'll bring something for you, okay?"

Yerim just smiled at her. leaned in, she gave her a loving kiss.

"I love you."

"suddenly?" Minjeong saw her flushed face. Looks like she's embarrassed and nervous. "I love you more, babe. Now go, you need a lot of rest."

Minjeong soon saw Yerim entered the house and she drove to her apartment.

Minjeong casually went in to her apartment. She saw Ryujin fell asleep on the couch with the TV still on. She turned it off and let Ryujin sleep there. Going to the kitchen, she heats up some leftovers to eat.

"ooh... smells great." Ryujin stretched, waking up from her sleep. she then sat up and looked to Minjeong. "left some for me...."

"get your own food." Minjeong didn't look up from her phone. "why are you here? Didn't you need to prepare for the stage?"

"yeah. Left my bass there." Ryujin walked towards her and sat beside her. "I'll be with Yeji and Chaeryeong. The rest doing the written thesis."

"did you break up with Yeji?" Minjeong got curious.

"why did you say that?" Ryujin raised an eyebrow. "no. not really."

"not really? What does that mean? You cheated didn't you?" Minjeong joked around, knowing that it's something that Ryujin might do. her past relationships ended because of that.

"oh shut up. You fucked the mother too." Ryujin pushed her playfully. "I'll go with you tomorrow."

"I didn't fuck her. she's the one that forced me." Minjeong ignored the second statement.

"if I were you I wouldn't mind." Ryujin smirked. "I'll sleep upstairs."

Minjeong hummed in response. She then texted her girl goodnight then took a shower before going up to sleep.
