Chasing After You

"Tiffany." Valery is convincing me to go to a date she prepares for me pero ayoko pumunta.

"Tiffany its not right to dump your date..." Pangongonsensya pa niya saakin na kinusilapan ko.

"Its not my date Val, you set me up it's your date." I don't show any interest in this set up date. Ayoko its hassle and meeting new people is kinda akward.

"Yah, I set you up on a date. Its you not me, come on." She's holding my arms and harshly pulling it to convince me.

"Busy Val, we're going to have our examination this coming week." Pagpapaalala ko sa kaniya. How could she even set me up on a date eh alam niyang may examination, ang dami niyang time ha.

"Tiffany, you really don't want to?" Huminahon na sabi niya at tinigil na ang paghihila sa braso ko. Tumango ako sa kaniya habang nag-aayos ng sarili ko. "Its only this time, one night Tiffany and you can't say yes to your bestfriend." She acted to have a long face para makonsensya ako. Valery keeps on bugging me to go on that set up date she did for me at alam kong hindi niya ako titigilan hanggat hindi ako pumapayag. I dont know what's up with her, It's not like Im finding a man besides I still have time to look for a man after I graduated college.

"Fine fine I will go." She smiled at me and hugged me in an instant. "Hindi mo talaga ako matitiis Tiffany." Masayang sabi niya.

Kinusilapan ko siya na kinangisi niya.

"Val why did you even set me up?" I curiously asked her at binaba na ang lipstick ko she answered me with a bored look on her face. "Please, we're in college but you still haven't had a boyfriend." Napailing na lang ako sa mga sinasabi niya.

"Will you pick me up?" I asked her. "Pick you up? I'm not your driver." Natatawang sabi niya.

"You set me up." Binalik ko ang pangongonsensya niya saakin.

"Fine, but he's gonna take you home." Pinandilatan niya ako ng mata.

"Whatever promise me he's a good guy." Kinusilap ko siya at nilagay ang compact mirror ko sa loob ng purse ko tsaka ko ito ibinalik sa look ng bag.

"I swear Im not gonna set you up with a bad boy, no one want that except in books and movies and-we're living in reality." Napangiti ako sa sinabi niya she knows my type alam niyang ayaw ko sa mga lalaking mga basag ulo ang ginagawa. I want a more matured man who's responsible enough to handle a relationship.

Like a man older than me maybe.

"Who the guy, Val?" I suddenly asked her and she naughty smiled at me. "He's in Architect department, five and a half footer, he play basketball and baseball. He's a decent guy." She proudly say as if I had to thank her for setting me up with what she call a decent man.

"Its almost three lets go." Mag-sstart kase ang klase namin and we didn't wanna be late magpapasa pa ako ng assignment my Proof doesn't want a late comer in his class not unless may valid reason other than that you won't be able to get to his class manghihiram ka talaga ng mga notes sa kaklase mo para sa topic na hindi mo napuntahan or else pwedeng mababa ang makuha sa exam or quiz sa kaniya.

Umupo ako sa table ko and bring out my book including my assignment that I wrote in a paper last night. Im aiming for high grades this semester and besides after this school year Im going to graduate as a Financial Management. My Kuya Caleb is graduate in Business Management. They're into Business and we own the Company of Monteleon, the biggest wine industry in the Country.

"Good Morning Mister Del Fuerro." Me and my classmate chant as our teacher came in. "Good Morning." He smiled and look around the classroom.

"Pass your assignment." Kinuha ng isa sa mga kaklase ko ang nga papel namin as Mr. Del Fuerro is observing if everyone is giving their papers after my classmate put it in his desk.
