6 and a half years later
~Rino POV
Who was this guy anyway. He had the byakugan, and rinnegan. How was that even possible?
"An Otsotsuki." I heard lord 7th say.
"What the hell is an Otsotsuki?" I asked.
"A powerful clan that lived long ago, they were all supposed to be dead, but they're here now. Be careful they're very powerful, maybe even more powerful than me."
More powerful than even lord Naruto. How was that even possible? I didn't think a being like that even existed.
"Well let's just show this guy what the leaf village is made of," Julo said nodding at me. "You ready Rino?"
"Let's do this."
With that we both readied our hand signs.
"Let's go. Julo, use your wind jutsu with my fire style."
"Ok."
At the same time we yelled "Fire style, Dragon Fire Jutsu!" "Wind style, Wind Dragon!"
Our jutsus combined together in the air and made a huge blast when it hit our target.
"Nice one Julo."
"Our combos are still good."
We felt pretty victorious, until the Otsotsuki stood up again, and started laughing manically.
"You weaklings, thinking you took down the great Momoshiki Otsotsuki. What a joke."
"What the hell is the guy."
"I'm a god you impudent twerp."
"You use big words." I tried to act confident even though I was really nervous.
"Rino, shut up, you're probably going to make it worse," Julo yell-whispered at me.
"You should listen to your little boyfriend over there, flamingo head."
"Hey! I'm not a flamingo head. God wanna be. And also that's my husband. We're married!"
"Foolish. How could a human like you possibly understand a god like me."
"Rino, will you just shut up."
"Yeah kid, you're really annoying."
"Fine, let's just fight then."
Lord 7th then turned to us "Let me help you out some."
But before any of us could do anything, the Otsotsuki threw a bunch of metal chakra rods at Julo. I thought everything in that moment was lost, until I remembered that there was a marked shuriken, right in front of Julo. I quickly teleported there, just in time to intercept the rods from hitting Julo. I was impaled by 9, with them hitting me in the back, so I was facing Julo. 3 to the stomach, 1 in each leg, 2 to the shoulder, and 2 in the chest. It hurt like hell, but I tried my best to ignore it, so I could say goodbye to Julo.
"Hey." Was all I managed to say at first.
"R-Rino."
"Thank you for everything Julo, you really changed my life completely. I love you so much I don't know what I would have done without you."
"No, No, No please don't go Rino."
"It's ok Julo, it's my time to go now. I'm just glad I got to protect you one last time. I'll be watching over you until you join me again. Goodbye Julo, don't forget our promise."
His sobs, and screams hurt as I started losing consciousness for the last time. My last thought I ever had was, Wow I now know what Kailo was feeling that day in the forest.
1 day after returning from the mission
~Julo Pov
They're gone. They're gone, and there's nothing I can do now. Except join them. Screw that stupid promise. I can't live without them. I ran to the bathroom, and grabbed the kunai out of my pocket. I aimed right over my heart, hesitated for a second, and pierced through it. I lost consciousness quickly.
When I opened my eyes again, they were standing in front of me.
"I'm sorry I broke our promise Rino. But I just can't live without you, I don't know how I did it for so long before I met you."
"It's ok, Julo. I didn't expect you to keep that promise. I just wanted to see if that would change anything, and it didn't. Miro will be raised by Orini and Jayra for the rest of her life now."
There was a brief pause before they continued again, "Let's go, we'll be together forever now."
We walked away, our fingers intertwined as we walked.
A few weeks later
~Orini POV
"Today we are here to mourn the deaths of Julo, and Rino Akura, together until the very end."
I couldn't bear this, I was sobbing into Jayra's shoulder as she let a few tears fall as well. Those idiots really couldn't be without each other I guess.
"Thank you guys for everything, now go live a life of peace together forever," I whispered to myself.
Two days later
~Orini POV
All the Otsotsuki are gone for good. Thanks to the help from Julo, and Rino. They helped wipe out one together. I missed them both a lot. Over half of the group was dead now.
"Otuno! Rue! Miro! Time for dinner!" I yelled from the kitchen
"Ok!" the three of them yelled as they ran downstairs.
I was glad that me and Jayra were chosen to be Miro's guardians. She reminded us everyday how strong love really is. We loved her as much as Julo and Rino did. She was glad to have good parents after hers died too I think.
After we all finished dinner, the three of them started chasing each other outside.
I came up behind Jayra while she was washing the dishes, put my head on her shoulder, and looked out the window at the kids outside.
"Hopefully the three of them get the bravery, strength, and love the others had, and they carry on their legacy."
"I'm sure they will."
The End. :)
Damn that was awesome. I'm so proud of myself for this. I did my best on it, and I'm really happy with the emotional damage ending. Thank you so so so so so much for reading, it really means a lot to me. Have an amazing day/night, and know that you're loved, appreciated, valued, and worth it, no matter what you may think, and to keep fighting no matter what and never give up (Especially you Jamie I need you <3) Thank you so much ILY all :)
