The Past of a Cat

1. Life before

The sun shone through the windows waking me up from a rather nice dream I was having. Instead of my boyfriend lying down behind me, I was alone with a note on the dresser my only clue where he had gone today. " out training be back later -Zayo ;) " I groaned and rolled over and promptly went back to sleep.

I awoke again the clock read 2:18 pm I would have gone back to sleep but my tummy's angry growls indicated I needed some food to eat. I shuffled out of bed, gathered some clothes, and hurried into the bathroom. I washed my face and brushed my teeth then I swapped into a pink t-shirt and a spare pair of Zayo's shorts I found lying around. The kitchen was my next destination I poured the last bottle of strawberry milk into a bowl that held my favorite cereal, Strawberry Panic, and then scarfed down the cereal. I then promptly hopped onto the couch to take a catnap.

A knock at the door woke me up I sped over to the door to open it for who I know was waiting for me. Zayo stood at the entrance to the dorm room hallway. "Hey, kitten did you hear The Great Dragons Reincarnation got a new season," Zayo said with a twinkle in his eyes. "We are so gonna binge watch it come on let's go already!" I said While I dragged him towards the couch. We sat together on the couch and began the third season of our favorite show.

We watched the outro for the final episode it was already 9:30 pm and we were starving. " Hey what should we get for dinner?" Zayo asked me. I decided we should eat at our favorite burger place or at least order some food from them. Zayo lay lazily over the side of the couch his red eye was staring at me while at the same time his purple eye stared at the box of dog treats in my hand. I stuck my hand into the box and tossed a few treats into the air. In a blur of black and red Zayo had collected all the treats their ends hung loosely out of his dagger-like teeth. " Tosu can we get pizza instead we've been eating burgers quite often this week," he asked me. " we could but we both know you shouldn't be within a foot of dairy products. As funny as it is to watch you suffer I still don't like having you do that to yourself. Give, me a sec to call the burger place." Zayo's smile saddens for a moment until he realizes what he's gonna get from the burger place. I pick up the phone then Zayo quickly tells me what he wants before the burger place picks up " I want 6 burgers and if they have dino nuggies get me those." I ordered our food I ordered a burger and a strawberry milkshake. I informed Zayo they would get here in 10 minutes. "I'll die of starvation by then." He grumbled under his breath.

I retrieved the order from the delivery man and put it down on the table. Zayo reached into the bag to grab his food. After that, he grabbed a bottle of coffee grounds and put it on the table. I calmly ate my burger while Zayo devoured each burger like he was living hellfire. He reached for a spoon and the bottle of coffee grounds he put on the table. And started to eat the grounds by the spoonful he always does this after he eats to quote " wash everything down." He seemed to be immune to caffeine anyway so it doesn't bother him. He walked into the bathroom to brush his teeth leaving me at the table with my milkshake. He walked out with a shirt that says I'm gonna do sleep. it was a gift I had gotten him a year or so ago for his birthday. I quickly brushed my teeth as well then changed into a matching shirt that said I'm sleep. Zayo faceplanted onto our bed. "Ya know kitten I got a part-time job as a contract demon. Wanna come to help me out with it?" Zayo said his voice was muffled by the mattress. " Sure! But can you please move your butt so I can lay down," Zayo moved closer to the wall I hopped into bed next to him and then quickly fell into a deep sleep.
