In which her childhood friend returns as her teacher.

"Why have you been ignoring chae? What did she do to deserve this? Do you even like her? have you asked chae what yesoo said to anger her? did you ask if she was alright? NO! all you did was blame on her for starting it!", the veins on yeonjun's neck was visible as he yelled. "yesoo sexualised you. chaemin fought to defend you and this is what she got in return...",the boy was so mad till his voice cracked.
the teacher looked down in shame, feeling apologetic for all the hurt he caused his lover. "you love her don't you?",he asked his student. its easy to recognise someone that loves her the same way you do. yeonjun scoffed,"she's my best friend, of course i love her! she's always genuine with her feelings when she's with me. but when you came back, she hid the pain all by herself because she's denial to protect the image she has of you! i just want her to be happy with the person she loves, but did you really protect her well?"

while being in his room, yeonjun's words couldn't stop ringing in his ear. meanwhile, chaemin felt uneasy telling yeonjun about her relationship and decided to check up on her boyfriend.
but before she turned the doorknob, a familiar voice from inside stopped her. "gosh chaemin is so clingy to you isn't she? i think she has a little crush on you, oppa.",it was ms lee's voice. chaemin peeked from the small window of the door and saw her boyfriend nodding in agreement. but what made her heart sank was when the teacher she despised laid her hands on beomgyu, kissing him. 'push her away, please!',chaemin clenched her fist as her eyes were filled to the brim with tears, pleading to pour out.
her beomgyu accepted the kiss and if that wasn't enough to break her heart, she swore he made an eye contact with her through that glass while his lips were on someone else. chaemin clutched onto her heart, weeping as quiet as she could but she accidentally let out a sniffle. just then the door opens, revealing her lover with another women. chaemin couldn't described the way he looked, so shocked yet so desperate.
"please explain to me, i'll understand. just give me any excuse!", chaemin begged him with her palms tightly pressed against each other as she hiccuped, trying to catch her breath. "what's there to explain?", beomgyu asked rhetorically, "ms lee was my ex girlfriend and i came back for her. i hope you aren't too delusional to think i came back for you." beomgyu's eyes were so dull, bluntly speaking like he had no feelings at all.
"gyu, what's wrong?! why are you acting this way! please, not to me...",she weakly reached her hand out to touch his face but hesitated when she saw ms lee, standing there with amusement spread across her filthy lips. beomgyu's eyes followed chaemin's then quickly looked straight again, he held her wrist in a warning manner. "a student like you should not interfere us.", he stated sternly while looking into her watery eyes. But Chaemin caught a detail, the shiny necklace she gave him when she was 15 was proudly dangling on his neck.
'do not cry. do not be weak. beomgyu once taught me that your tears represent your enemy's victory.', chaemin thought as she shut her eyes and the memories run through her mind while she bit her numb lips until she could taste the metallic of her blood. even if chaemin could see through her childhood best friend, her feelings had overwhelmed her and they both knew this was their end, an end that could not be reversed.
