; again, I am working on requests, but for now, to get back from not writing in a long while, I tend to write things from my head inspired by au's I saw on TikTok.
; so, let us begin!
; if you have read the Russia x Reader fic, I will be basing this au off of that!

- plot: after the death of Alina Fedorova ( which means you awoke in your time.) Toris was devastated that he had lost the girl he loved. However, when he decided to visit the museum before his world meeting, he saw you. But you and he have this weird Deja vu moment as if you know each other.

"Do you hear me, Ivan Braginsky! You didn't deserve her!"

Present-day

And just like that, Toris awakes. Panting, he looked at the clock that was next to the dresser.

9:16 a.m.

Toris groaned and laid back in bed. "Another nightmare... just let it pass, and I'll be over it."

But truth to be told, he would never get over it.

He kept having the same nightmare for the past two weeks now. He was very much in melancholy since today is the anniversary of the passing of Alina Fedorova. He was slowly moving on from her presence for the past years, and yet...

He was constantly reminded of the one person he could never be with.

It had been 106 years since Alina Fedorova passed away.

The cause of her death was a mysterious illness (Vladimir suspected it was a mysterious illness), and on the last day, Toris remembered the answer to his question.

"To forget everything and everyone."

But why? Why did she need to forget everyone and everything?

Was it due to the pain Russia aka Ivan Braginsky brought her a month prior?

Or was it due to her death, the last moments spent with pain?

Toris was always so curious as to why she answered his question that way. It was like a riddle he was trying to figure out.

And for 106 years, he could not solve it.

Sitting in bed, the emotions still swirling inside of him due to his dream. He didn't want to get out of bed, he preferred staying in and mourning peacefully.

But today was the world meeting. And not just any world meeting...

The first world meeting since covid hit. They have had previous meetings, but they were either online due to not everyone feeling comfortable going or afraid they were going to spread covid.

But the last covid case was reported, and it was ensured that covid had been cured, and now the people were free to be maskless and be free the way they wanted to now.

More public events, concerts, birthday parties, clubbing, all the things that covid took away for the past 2 years.

And that meant for the first time, the world meetings would be resumed all around the world.

And what better way to celebrate than to have the first world meeting in Alfred's home aka the United States of America.

Toris felt really at home with Alfred. After all, he lived with him for the past couple of years before he was under Soviet rule.

And those times Toris doesn't like to remember. Out of all the countries that were under Soviet rule or influence, Ivan was the cruelest to him. It was trauma embedded in him forever and he has recently started going to therapy.
