The word medium here is used to describe our choice of language...the language in which we want to study our subjects.

In my school these are the subjects an art's student can have-
English
Hindi
Political science
Home science
History
Sociology/tourism/financial management

The last sixth subject is optional in 11th, you could either chose sociology, tourism or finance but the thing which happened with me was that i was not given an option to choose the last subject because our previous school did not have that subject means that you could only chose tourism or finance if you have been studying the subject from 9th standard.

So i got Sociology as a subject (between i wanted to go in a school where i could study fine arts...well that will be altogether a different chapter)

So now in 11th you could choose your medium which is either you study all those subjects in English or your mother tongue Hindi...

I obviously chosed English because i have been studying all those hard terms and whatnot in english from nursery to 10th standard...and for me it would be difficult to take hindi and learn everything again in Hindi....to convert all the terms into hindi, it would have been a tiring job.

It's not like i didn't have the subject hindi before and as my teacher used to say that i have a way with words. She said i was good in english because my hindi was good too. It turned out to be such a nice quote..no?

Well i was telling something different and started writing something entirely different.

This story moves in the present which is, what i am writing here is happening with me...you know what i am saying right? I don't think I need to elaborate, afterall i have smart readers...

So after we got our marks of our previous class 11th...the teachers got in a discussion about those students who need to change their medium now in 12th standard...

Well they got really bad marks, i know because the teachers announced our marks before the whole class. I really pity some of them, this feeling comes from deep in my heart, really...i feel sad about them...

Just think about it...they will be changing their medium of study, they will be sitting with different students, in a different section, away from their friends, and if! If they did not do good this time, even after changing the language, i don't know what could go more wrong.

The part where they will be away from their friends is not that serious actually...they could always meet them because they are still in the same school and if their friendship was to broke in this mess then that can only mean they were not real friends...a real friend would just shrug their shoulders in such a situation, because they will know that they will still be friends no matter where they are...

The world is too big and yet so small, isn't it?

So, some students stood up and were named to change their section next week. For those who merely and barely passed on grace of the teacher were asked to give a test.

Our teacher used three whole days to settle this situation...not like she could do anything if the students were not present.

She said that she only chosed those who could form sentences in english which made sense, for the test. For those  who couldn't even give meaning to their sentences were called to move in a different section immediately...

Some said that they won't be able to do it in Hindi and our teacher pointed out that " you couldn't even do it in english so what made you so sure that you won't be able to do it in your own mother tongue?"

You won't be able to rebuke that now...

*SIGH*

If only they studied instead of goofing around and let's not even go towards their attendance...

I know some were sick but...you see this can't be changed.
