Middle School BFF's...?

Ah yes, the first day of middle school..

Olivia was lazy, she didn't want to get up from bed. All she wanted was just another day of summer break. She got up anyway because her mother started getting angry. She brushed her teeth, took a bath, changed her clothes, bla bla bla...

She went to the same school once again, Autumn Leaf K-12. This school is where she did kindergarten and elementary.

Olivia's POV

I went to school, it was the same as I saw it when I was in kindergarten and in elementary.

I did what every student did. I went inside the school and went inside the classroom for the first period. I didn't have many friends at the time, only a few I talked less with. So I didn't have that much fun during free period. Maybe sometimes? But, most of the time, not much fun.

I would just eat whatever my mom packed for me...

This time I wanted to make the best of this year. I wanted a new friend! I looked around the classroom to see whoever I can be friends with. I looked and looked.. and no one that caught my eye was found, so I just gave up 'Well, I guess no new friends this year...' I thought.

The bell rang, and class started.

The teacher went in the classroom.

The teacher didn't say anything for the first few seconds, but then she started talking.

I expected the teacher to say something about the start of the school and saying welcome and just going into the lesson, but.. it wasn't that.

She started talking about a new student.. a new classmate.

"Alright dear, you can get in here now!" The teacher said.

That new student walked in, she definitely caught my attention. She had beautiful braided brown hair with sunshine yellow eyes.

"Why don't you introduce yourself?" The teacher said kindly to the student.

"W-well uhh... m-my name is.. H-hannah.. a-and I.. uh.. I like.. g-gaming, a-and listening to music..... ummm...." she seems to stutter a lot, and really shy..

"Wow, that Hannah girl really has the same hobbies as me! Maybe she can be my new friend!" I thought to myself in excitement.

"Alright everyone, welcome to the first year of middle school! I hope you'll enjoy this school year. Now let's get started on our first lesson..."

~After first and second period~

We already went through English and Science. It was boring (as always). Through those first two periods I kept staring at Hannah.

She had a beautiful name, nice hair, warm eyes... the prettiest clothes! She seemed to have a kind personality too.

After second period, it was the first free period. Recess!

'This is my chance to ask her to be my friend!' I said in my head.

I walked up to her seat, and asked.

"Hey there!" I said happily.

"H-huh?" Hannah said surprised.. and got nervous.

"I have something to ask you.." I said.

"What.. is it?" She asked nervously

"Well... I decided to have at least 1 new friend to hang out more during this year, so that I can make the best of it!" I said excitedly. Hannah's expression transitioned into a very surprised face.
