Ezra is a 15-year-old freshman girl who is experiencing some difficulty after the tragic loss of her parents in a fire. Luckily, Ezra's aunt, Athena who lives in New York is to the rescue. Ezra wants to stay in South Carolina but decides that life will be better in a big city. Ezra's thoughts quickly change when she arrives.

War Birdie

When the war between Ukraine and Russia gets out of hand, Birdie and her family have to decide between the two sides. Birdie's father wished to be with Russia, Mexico, and France while Birdie's mother wishes to be with Ukraine, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Brazil leaving Birdie, her 6-year-old sister Tina, and her 16-year-old brother Dominic to decide between their parents. Birdie as a 10-year-old girl wants to be wither mother and so does Tina, but Dominic's mind is quick to change when Russia offers a chance of a lifetime. When it's only Birdie, Tina, and their mother it seems like it couldn't get worse, but soon Birdie's mother dies of cancer 1 year after moving to a safe range area away from the Washington they once knew. But now, Birdie is a target and she was taken with her sister, both survived but don't know-how. Can Birdie, Tina, and their new friend makes it past the war?

The Final Shot

Cleo and Hugo were best friends living in a small neighborhood being nothing but poor kids, playing basketball. When they start high school however when they get a chance of a lifetime to join the NBA or a free scholarship to any college, Hugo excepts the NBA but Cleo, on the other hand, turns down the offer and wants the scholarship. This tears Hugo apart so they were torn apart. When Hugo finds out after 10 years, that Cleo's father passed away due to cancer, he goes out of his way to attempt to put their once unbreakable bond back together, will Cleo forgive Hugo after pushing her away?
