Y/N pov:

"Well, as long as you stay on bed rest, you can go."
I sigh slightly as I take back the now signed discharge papers.

"Thanks ma'am, I promise I'll rest, I'll call my deputy before I leave." He gave me another one of his goofy grins.
'why is that so cute?' I think to myself, nodding at his statement "okay, but you'll have to do it in the waiting room, we might need the bed."

He nods at me "yes ma'am" he chuckles.
I can't help but smile back at him "have a good night" I say before walking away.

A few moments later I see Officer Fenik leave the room, giving me a wave and a smile as he leaves, slipping his jacket back on.

"How's the night treating you?" I hear a familiar friendly voice from behind me.
I smile and sigh in exhaustion "it is what it is." I turn to face Kat "you?"
Kay slumps down into the chair beside me with a groan "my feet are killing me, but at least I'm on break for a half hour" she laughs a little, but I can tell she's tired.

"Why not take a nap in the break room?" I look at her questioningly before turning to the computer and starting to update chart information.
"Wanted to chat before I had to head back" she sits up, stretching her arms above her head.
Nodding in response, I continue typing.

Hours pass, patients coming in and out of the doors all night.
Yawning as things have slowed down, checking the time I'm a little surprised "it's already 3am? Huh, didn't feel like it was that long." I stand up, stretching before waving to the other nurses around "see ya tomorrow guys" I call to them, getting some goodbyes and waves in return before heading to the locker room, yawning as I grab my bag, slip my jacket on, change my shoes and leave the room.

I head to my car, hopping in and pausing to sigh then yawn and stretch before starting the engine. Making my way home, I have the windows down, enjoying the early morning air and quiet of the empty road.
Making it to my park at home, I grab my bag and hop out, heading up to my down, groggily trying to unlock my front door.

Heading inside I push the door closed and lock it, leaning on it for a moment before making my way to my bedroom. Dropping my bag by the door and kicking my shoes off I collapse onto my bed, almost immediately falling into a deep sleep.
