I'm in my office with my daughter, replying to emails while she plays with her toys on my spinning chair. God, she's crazy about that chair. I'm just about to open another file when Maya taps my leg and makes grabby hands for me to pick her up.

I do and sit her on my lap so she is facing me. "Yes princess?" I raise my eyebrows questioningly. "Are you and mommy married?" She asks. I'm a little taken aback by this, but Delilah and me told her she can ask freely about anything anytime.

So we are going to have this little chat with my princess today.

"No sweetheart, mommy and I are not married. Remember she has a boyfriend." Who I hate.

If I could just kill him, but no since it would be too obvious. I already unalived that bitch of Patrick for making my girl uncomfortable.

"Oh yeah, Jackass" That is the only curse word I let her use. I start to caress her little cheeks with the tip of my fingers. "Where does all of this come from princess anyway?" I ask her. She gives me an adorable shrug and looks down.

"Kids say you not love mama. Mama not love you. You not love me because you not married." Her eyes start to gloss and I want to kill those evil little fuckers.

I hug her to myself and press a little kiss on the crown of her head.

"Listen to me and listen carefully. We love you so much, that you can't even imagine it, okay? And just because me and mommy are not married or together doesn't mean we didn't want you." I hear her little sniffles and it breaks my heart.

"Now I want you to go in Monday and tell these kids that juts because their parent doesn't care about them they don't have to be mean to someone else." She lets out a little chuckle and lifts up her head from the crook of my neck.

"That's meany daddy." She flashes me a cheeky smile and I give her one back.

"That's the whole point." I send a wink to her and start to tickle her since I hate it when one of my girls are crying.

"Oh and if you get in trouble, me and momma will solve that, alrighty?"

She nods and snuggles into my chest.

This tiny little human and the other human outside are my entire world and they don't even know that.

"Back to Jackass, what your mother told me is that she is happy with him so we can't really do anything about that." That is a big ass lie.

I remember holding Lilah while she cried because of that piece of shit. I wanted to stay with her, but I also needed to kill  Patrick.

"No she's not. She cry night. She think I'm sleeping, but no. What I do papa?" My daughter looks at me with a sad eye and my blood boils.

"What usually happens when you're there, sweetheart?" I ask already afraid of the answer.

"Mommy not let me be around him. We eat in mama's room." She replies.
