The Silent Room
This story is a collaboration by me, and my friend Madi, also known on here as nuttemad000.
We were writing on lined paper and were supposed to write one line, then switch, but we really wrote a few sentences in the end instead.
Side note: I’m in bold and Mad’s in italics.
The Silent Room (for realz this time, yo XD)
Two girls sat in the silent room at their local library when
Screams echoed across the walls! Anna, the braver one,
Arose silently to inspect where the horrible noise emerged from.
Jessica was left behind with dead silence.
Then, Jessica heard a knocking resound down the halls it kept growing in volume as well as closer.
Anna criss-crossed from room to room,
Scouring behind every bookshelf, under every chair, behind all the information and check out desks. Everyone in the once-busy library had disappeared, as if they were never there, Another scream resonated through the petrified library,
But this was different from the last. The one before was terror stricken, this one was more horrified.
It’s pitch was higher, and the length was shorter, the sound more resonating, coming from far closer than all the others, like it was from the next lounge.
Anna ran to the source of the noise, scared for the first time. She opened the wood door slowly.
It creaked a warning, but also, it was mocking her. Telling her to stay out, yet beckoning her to enter.
The lounge was dark and muffled sounds emanated from it.
A soft cry of pain emerges from the shadows to the right of the door.
Anna spun around, a shiver ran down her spine.
The darkness swirled menacingly around, a sickening snapping sound, almost as if bones were snapping came from it.
She heard a third scream
As it came to an end, she realized it originated from her mouth. The darkness descended upon her. Her eyes closed.
Now, this is the part where your nightmare tells you want happens next :-P
