💫|HARRY'S POV|💫
February 1, 10:15 a.m.
"I find it very weird how you're out and about so early in the morning, like even for school, you're never fully awake until after noon." I tell Louis as we walk through a field hand in hand. The grass in green and so alive, the leaves on the trees are growing and the breeze is forgiving and I find myself thankful for a bright sun and short winter, considering I'm in a thin cover up in the early morning.
"Well, today is actually important." Louis replies. He continues to walk until a small river comes in view and I smile.
"I'm seventeen, why is that important?" In my mind, I know why it's important to me, but I'm more interested to know what he's thinking.
"Well, first of all, like you said, you're seventeen now and a lot of people grown ups specifically are going to start viewing you as an adult. But, more importantly, it's our first date." He smiles and he gestures over to the picnic blanket and basket sitting by the river.
"Oh my god, Lou." I gape, looking at him. He walks me over and I can't help but think this came out of a fiction storybook. Louis is never the romantic type.
"How long have you had this planned?" I ask, sitting down on the blanket. He smiled and sits down beside me.
"A while." He says, leaning back on his elbows. I take a look around at the trees and smile. Trees, the blue sky, and the small river makes everything so beautiful.
"It's lovely here, isn't it?" He says.
"Very." I nod, my gaze towards the sky.
"I thought you might like it here. Better than being cramped inside a house all day." Louis chuckles quietly. I smile and look over at him. He reaches into the picnic basket and pulls out a wrapped up plate of cupcakes.
"Compliments of Ms. Barbara from the bakery." He teases. I chuckle and take the plate from him, unwrapping them immediately. Barbara was always as kind to bake someone something for their birthday. She usually bakes me a full cake, I guess she didn't have much time with Louis running down the clock. I take a bite of the yellow frosted pastry and hum in appreciation.
"They're so good." I whisper, the sweetness of the cupcake taking over my senses.
"Aren't they?" Louis smiles, he's already taking a second. I giggle at him and nod.
"We also have bananas, sandwiches-that's ham, turkey, cheese, mayo, and tomato- and strawberry cheesecake." He smiles, taking them all out as he introduces them. They're all my favorites.
"Barbara says these were all your favorites." He reads my mind, looking at me. I nod at him and he smiles. I finish off the yummy cake and sit its wrapping onto the plate.
I take another look at the surroundings around us, a river, waterfall, trees with long, green leaves, the field, the bright blue sky. I can't help but giggle at its cheesiness. It's a beautiful place to be, don't get me wrong. But the features, adding in the picnic lunch. This is a scene out of a storybook.
"This is very cliché of you." I tease to him. He makes a mock gasp, holding his hand over his heart.
"Me? Cliché? Neveeer.." He drags out, swatting his hand at me. He laughs and reaches to another cupcake while I grab the banana.
"No, I really just wanted to do something nice for you. You have been through so much and you deserve a break. So, on your birthday, I am gonna make you forget about everything...and just have a nice day.." He tells, stuffing his face, smudging frosting on his face. I chuckle at him.
"Well...in that case.." I reach over and scoop off the frosting on his nose with my finger, bringing it to my mouth, cleaning it off.
"...you've already succeeded." I tell him as I wipe off the wetness of my finger off on a napkin. His eyes are wide as he watches me and he gulps deeply and his face turns red.
"Are you okay?" I ask him. He nods quickly and looks down.
"Y-yeah...but as I was saying, I wanted you to have fun. Buuut, if this is too cliché for you, I could tear down a few trees, rip up the grass, and skinnydip into the river." He teases with a smirk. A tilt my head back and a loud chuckle falls from my lips.
"No, no thanks.. I've always wanted my life to be like a fairytale." I tell him, putting the banana peel in the basket. He gives me an endearing smile and bites his lip.
"Maybe it will be..." He says quietly and my smile widens.

"I can't believe I let you talk me into this...." I chuckle, climbing onto his bare back. He holds me up by my thighs and looks up at me.
"It'll be fun.." He claims. We're still on our date and have been for about an hour. Somehow I let Louis make me believe that jumping into the river with only our underwear was a good idea.
"Don't drop me.." I whine as I hook my arms around his neck. He chuckles and look towards the river.
"You trust me?" He says with a smirk.
"No.." I joke, leaning my chin against his shoulder.
"Then close your eyes." He says and I grip onto him tightly and he sprints towards the river, holding me. I laugh loudly and he jumps when we reach the edge. My eyes shut and I let out a squeal as we hit the water.
I swim back up, wiping the water from my face, giggling when I look towards Louis. He smiles and shakes his wet hair out, swimming over to me.
I am shaking from the cold if the water and instantly wrap my arms around Louis' neck as he comes closer, our breathing heavy as we stare at each other. I glance at Louis' face and his blue eyes are glistening as water drips from his hair onto his face. Before we even catch our breath, Louis' lips are pressed against mine and I feel his arms wrap around my waist. The kiss is wet, yet warm and his lips are soft and light against mine. My eyes close and my fingers slip into Louis' damp hair.
