Chapter 30

Flashback ended

Rowen sits grinding his teeth and I can feel the amount of anger he has building up, I stand and walk the few feet to him, kneeling in front of him tentatively, I place a hand on his shoulder. He looks at me, eyes dark, he goes to stand and walk out but I quickly embrace him in a hug and he wraps his arms around me to make sure neither of us fall. I feel his hands wonder down my back and he relaxes in my hold.

"Ruby, baby. I can't believe he made you do that." he whispers into my hair.

"Don't be angry with Olcan, he protected me as much as he could. He also had no choice" I whisper back.

Rowan pulls back and looks at me fondly, he nods and I breathe a sigh of relief that I didn't know I was holding. Turning to Sapphire I see she has a very angry look on her face.

"Hay, Saph. Calm down" I say softly.

"I'm just so angry he did that, if I ever meet him I'll rip his head off" she growls standing abruptly.

"Get in line" I chuckle.

She grins and looks about, the hall has been cleared of most things and looking at the time, I'd say it's time we all went home and got some shut eye.

"Well I'm knackered so I suggest we head back and go to bed" I inform yawning.

Sapphire nods and we make our way out of the hall, I walk ahead and once we are outside I shift and stretch, enjoying the feeling of being in my wolf form. I then set off in a slow run and Rowan and Sapphire follow in human form so as to not rip their clothes. Looking ahead I can see the pack of little wolves and then I make out Olcan and Maylana and sat in between them is Cana still in human form crying into Olcans fur. My heart leaps in worry and I sprint over to her, she lifts her head upon hearing my approach and practically throws herself at me. Wrapping her arms around my neck and burying her head in my shoulder I sit and wrap a paw around her, nuzzling her head comfortingly.

"Hay, baby girl, calm down. Everythings fine. He knows now and it's okay. I'm not mad at you." I say soothingly shifting back.

I wrap my arms around her and she sniffles and pulls back a little and looks at me and then Rowan who has shown up behind us, she buries her head back into my neck and I smile before pulling away.

"Cana, don't be afraid of my mate." I say light heartedly "After all, I'm the one with the bigger temper."

"Well that's definitely true" Rowan chuckles and Cana giggles "Hello Cana, I'm sorry I frightened you earlier."

"It's okay" she says shyly.

"Well, I have a busy day tomorrow and I'm shattered, so Olcan watch our daughter and howl if you need me" I say.

He nods and we walk into the house, Sapphire goes straight up the stairs and into the room I said she can borrow. Me and Rowan walk up the stairs and into our room together, I walk into the closet and close it behind me before taking off my dress, Rowan swings the door open and walks over to me. My breath hitches as he pins me with his body against the wall at the back, he looks me in the eyes before grinning and kissing me lightly on the lips. I blink and then I realize he was teasing me, I growl lustfully as he pulls away and goes to walk off. I grab his hand and swing him into the wall and pin him their forcefully, he smirks cheekily at me and I press my lips to his and begin to kiss him passionately. He places his hands on my hips and pulls me closer and I can feel that he is in just his boxers. I growl at him and press my body against his even more, lost in the moment. He runs his hands up my back and I feel him go over my scars and I flinch, sighing I go to pull away.

"It's me, Ruby. I've seen your body, I know what's there and I accept it. Don't be ashamed and embarrassed, I love you, scars and all." He says tilting my head to look at him and I know my eyes are wide. "Now, I will give you the choice to continue or not but I'd very much like you to."
