Now finding out that Charlotte was the one to kill Wells, Murphy was on a mission for her to have the same punishment. Though, now people have changed their minds. Since it was a little girl they didn't want to do anything. This also meant that Bellamy was on board with Clarke to protect the killer.
Bellamy was forced to come out of the tent which is where some of the people were protecting the child.
"So, who here wants to see the real murderer hung up? All in favor?" Murphy turned around to the others. Only a few of them raised their hands, agreeing with Murphy.
Leo wasn't one of them. He avoided Murphy's eye contact and kept quiet. As much as he wanted to cheer alongside his friend he couldn't agree with that. He never wanted Murphy to get hurt and Charlotte was also a little girl...who killed someone. Charlotte was twelve, she was a child, but at that age, you should know the difference between right and wrong. Though the Ark didn't help with children's mindsets when they see their loved ones get floated. Charlotte may have killed Wells with a knife but the ark is the real enemy. The man who sent them down to Earth killed Wells.
Murphy continued to stare at them all in disbelief. He couldn't believe that now they don't want to float someone. "I see. So, it's okay to string me up for nothing, but when this little bitch confesses, you all let her walk? Cowards! All of you are cowards!"
Bellamy walked towards Murphy shouting at him. "Hey, Murphy! Murphy. It's over."
"You were the one who kicked the bucket." Leo slowly raised his voice from being quiet while looking over at them. "Murphy was innocent but you were just going along with everyone else. Some damn leader you are."
"And what are you?" Bellamy looked past Murphy and started walking toward Leo, close to his face. "A leader...or a follower?"
Leo slightly shook his head, speaking in a light voice. "I'd rather leave than be a leader of this group. I know what kind of person I am and everyone else here. We'll kill ourselves before the grounders do it for us."
Murphy saw his chance and he took it. Seeing that Bellamy was busy arguing with Leo, he motioned his hand at the other delinquents that agreed with him and tried to go to the tent with Charlotte in it. Bellamy realized and quickly pushed Murphy back but Murphy elbowed his face. When Murphy had successfully gone into the tent the little girl was already gone.
"Charlotte! Charlotte, I know you can hear me!" Murphy walked back to Bellamy, shouting at him. "Where the hell is she!?" He looked over at Leo while walking away from them. "Leo, are you coming with us?"
Leo furrowed his brows at Murphy. "No." He understood a part of Murphy but there were lines that he couldn't cross.
